If I read this correct, they have'nt filed criminal charges against them, its just a law suit. Which means tax $$ will pay for their defense and some libtard judge will toss the case.

I am relaxed, I aint the one getting excited over whats gonna turn out to be another nothing burger. You know what would get me excited? Let them go lock up Hillary for destroying evidence, 33k some odd emails that were destroyed after they were subpoenaed, which was verified by their own investigation. Just because they opted to not pursue charges, doesnt mean she was exonerated, the evidence already exists, it should be very easy for Bondi to pursue it. All they need to do is to perp walk a few like Clinton and the rest of the scum will be running to rat each other out for a deal.

Its a waste of time in that it gives the left time to run more interference. Its no benefit to ICE having the AG fighting a lawsuit they will likely not get far with. Its war, go for the kill. To me, lawsuits like this are just window dressing, "look, we are going after them" when I know damned well that some lib judge will just toss it. And even if by some chance we win the lawsuit, we taxpayers still end up paying, you dont think Horechul is going into her pocket, do you?
Even with Trump in office, I still find it hard to be overly optimistic about anything .gov related.

I'm not looking at it past what it is at this point. It still is winning and tightening the screws on the left. Is it ultimately what I'd like? Well, considering I would like to see them either in jail or swinging, no. Just imagine though the conversation we would be having if Trump didn't win. You can't eat the whole elephant at one time. You eat it in bites. Not even 4 weeks. That is how long we have had any momentum. Let me ask you this. Before election day could you ever imagine Trump not only winning but getting the electoral vote, the popular vote and every swing state? Too bad you can't find optimism. That's a shitty way to live.

I had no doubt he would win by a landslide, actually expected bigger popular votes. Unless of course they cheated again. Shitty way to live? Because I'm skeptical of the gov? We have been fucked by dems and repubs all our lives, now we have Trump but we still have the dems and repubs, I dont consider Trump either but he doesnt have a magic wand to make them all play nice. So I remain skeptical about them all. I am ecstatic about some of the things he and they are doing, the border for example, deportations, DOGE. While I agree its better than nothing, but I just cant get too excited about some law suit they aint gonna win and no matter, win or lose we the taxpayers are on the hook when its time to pay. As I said in another thread, if they perp walk one of these top dems, like Hillary, the rest will start flipping for a deal and it would be effective in shutting the lefts mouths. It would save years resources spent fighting lawsuits. And we dont have years.

Not what I meant. I'm talking about hope across the board. I may get dejected, frustrated, disappointed, angry, etc., but if I give up hope for anything I might as well call it a day. I have always said things happen for a reason and ultimately good will triumph over evil. I just hoped I would live to see it. I am slightly giddy that I am starting to see the fruits of my hopeful labor. Time will ultimately tell. Until then I remain positive.

I dont think I'm being negative, just cautious. I am very happy with most of what he is doing, just being realistic about this lawsuit. At best it wont be settled til well after Trump is gone, and the only loser, no matter how it is settled is us taxpayers.

Seeing as how I've been paying into both my entire adult life, and it is not an unfunded (or wasn't until congress got their grubby hands into it) program, I would not expect them to unilaterally eliminate it.
And if they did, I would expect ALL of my money returned to me. It's the government, so I know they have records of every cent I've paid into it.
So is this one true? I don't watch the "news", so I wouldn't hear if they have been calling for its elimination.

Because most of our lives most of us have been paying into it, getting rid of it is going to be a lot more complicated than just axing a money laundering operation in Yemen.
SS *will* be eliminated in the coming decades. That is inevitable no matter who is in charge.

It is going to be "means tested" away in my opinion. Which means that if you have any retirement savings at all or even an investment portfolio you are probably going to lose out on most if not all of your expected social security distributions so it can be given to people who never saved a goddam penny in their life.
That makes it tricky for those (like me) who are rapidly approaching 65. From a financial perspective every year you wait is roughly an 8% increase in your payments. That's a pretty healthy return. However if your distribution is taken away at some point then it's probably better to take it as early as possible. Every financial advisor I have spoken to says the same thing - nothing will happen to social security payments. I think this will be another example where "the experts" are wrong.

They put new flow restrictions on all showers and faucets and they suck. I remove them all prior to installation. My tankless hot water heater would not function properly because the flow was so low. I removed the flow restriction device on the shower head and it works wonderfully. It’s all about reducing water usage.

And the real problem is that they did a one solution nationwide answer.
Reducing water consumption makes sense in the desert where it is scarce (OfC, government mandates are not the way to go about that. Just allow the market to set a realistic price for water and the problem solves itself).
In NY on the other hand, we had more trouble getting rid of water than finding it.
When your backyard floods 2 feet deep every spring, you don't really need to "conserve" water at all. And water is the ultimate renewable resource anyway. Very nearly 100% of it is recycled naturally.
