Fair objection and sorry for accidentally burying the lead thinking more people knew they also market these tipped match bullets to law enforcement. These bullets are in fact not designed solely for punching holes in paper. Ammo companies conduct gel tests on these bullets, including barrier...
Firstly, you're conflating slavery and the wars of conquest. The first link is a good source with good info. Your second source is a garbage Ranker listicle that takes the cruel deeds of a few of the more depraved conquerors like Pizarro and tries to make it seem like their actions were more...
Feel free to disagree with the messenger, but if you take time to read through that forum thread, you'll see the results of people claiming to use the Tipped Matchking (and other .223 bullets including the ELDM) to great effect on deer and even much bigger game like bears, elk and moose. Like I...
This forum threat on Rokslide linked below is a wealth of information about hunting with .223/5.56. People posting pictures of very large game taken with the cartridge and the loads/ammo they used to take said game. The 77gr Sierra Tipped Matchking seems very well regarded, as does the 75gr ELDM...
Cool concept. You get power very similar to .357 Mag with an extra 2 rounds of capacity. Loading it with .40 S&W gives you +1 round and cheaper ammo assuming it feeds them reliably.
I tend to recommend people practice regularly with their carry gun, but if someone is going to really run that round count high, to buy another one of the same model.
For beginners I usually recommend a larger gun so that they can get competent at the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship before...
I couldn't make opening day, but I got out Sunday and Monday. I was worried Sunday walking in because I kicked up a small herd before first light. I saw at least 4 deer run away as I made my way to my stand. I didn't want a repeat of the only deer I saw being before legal hours. Then I saw this...
I advise that whatever you do in terms of rifle, go with something modern that can use Triple 7 or Buckhorn 209 as your powders. Pyrodex has a reputation for being badly corrosive, so I avoid it. True black powder is great, but less powerful and best for purists, reenactors, or people in...
Went out yesterday for early bear/antlerless. First deer I saw was a doe while walking into the woods, around 10 min before legal shooting. Held the flashlight on her for a few seconds before realizing there was nothing I could do but let her go and keep making my way to my spot.
Unfortunately...
Yea, non-stick cookware has some tremendously bad stuff in it. Carbon steel or cast iron, properly seasoned and using correct cooking technique will be very non-stick. Stainless won't season like the other two, but kept clean, scratch-free, and using good cooking technique (cold oil into a hot...
My previous EDC was a Walther PPS in .40 S&W. With the largest magazine (7 rd) it was an excellent balance of shootability and concealability, but I didn't like giving up 3 rounds of capacity. Now my daily is a 365 XMacro. It has very similar dimensions to the PPS, but I shoot much better with...
The only time I carry handloads is while hunting. I'll either carry a 5" S&W .44 Mag with handloads or a Glock 23 with hot handloads, so a few days per year you could say I carry handloads. If I needed to use them to defend myself against a person, I wouldn't hesitate or worry about it. That...
Hell yea, good stuff. My gym isn't really conducive to that kind of training, unfortunately, so I do basic stuff. My split is:
-Chest
-Back, including rear delt isolation work
Rest/cardio/walk
-Arms including side and front delts
-Legs (quads/glutes)
-Leftovers (isolation for calves, abs...
