Supreme Court rules on Texas age verification law for adult websites
“The statute advances the State’s important interest in shielding children from sexually explicit content,” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the majority opinion.

When I was young, every city and town had a Convenience Store or Smoke Shop, with an entire wall stuffed with expensive magazines full of naked women.
It was fairly easy for the clerk to monitor who purchased them.
Years afterwards, late night TV was known for the endless advertisements of "Girls Gone Wild" Porn; first in VHS, later DVD.
But with the advent of the internet, all these items disappeared. And anyone with a phone or computer could watch any sexually explicit act they desired to watch.
Today SCOTUS upheld the right of any state to strictly enforce age verification on Porn Sites.
These sites are created by the lowest of the low. Women and girls are paid, or sometimes only promised payment. Told lies that the videos would never be published. Given drugs. Naive females think it might be fun; and only realize the real-life consequences when their videos surface later.
Many sites are operated solely to introduce viruses into your electronics. Several operators have been prosecuted and imprisoned.
A person would have to be foolish indeed to supply these sites with a credit card, drivers license, or other identification that proves they can legally access these sites.
So I wonder, will mail order and locally sold porn videos have a resurgence? I think so.
