Hochul then went on to declare war on GOP states like Texas for redistricting.
New York is currently barred from engaging in mid-decade redistricting, but the state legislature is looking to change that and override the will of the voters. Democrats have introduced a redistricting amendment to the state constitution that must receive approval by both legislative chambers in two consecutive sessions.
