At least two children are dead and more than a dozen were injured Wednesday after a shooter opened fire during a Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School, police said.

It sounds pretty horrific.

Obviously minimal details but what type of sick bastard attacks a Catholic elementary school. I can't help but think of the demographics of Minneapolis.

Awaiting more details and praying it's not as bad as it sounds.

News sites now reporting 2 children dead; 20 or more injured; and shooter shot into church from outside during mass.

Further update: 20 something shooter; he barricaded the doors trapping victims in the church like fish in a barrel; 8 & 10 year old children dead, two more critical, and about 20 wounded. Also had a smoke bomb, rifle, shotgun, and handgun. (Authorities now checking to see if the guns were legally owned??? WTF - why???)

This sick coward shot through the windows of the church as mass was going on. This is disgusting. I’m glad they are dead. I’m amazed at the ways people decide to kill and children at that. Why do this? If you hate the church take that up with the leadership and hopefully nonviolently. I will never understand shooting kids in an elementary school.

Internet users found the shooters social media accounts {SEE HERE} and provided additional information, including a video uploaded last night {SEE HERE} prior to the shooting where the suspect outlined his plans and thoughts to his family and friends in advance.
The information shows a very disturbed and unstable mindset. I caution readers that below is some of the information from the video, which may be disturbing given the nature of the events. At least two children were killed in a shooting in Minneapolis during a Catholic school Mass to mark the first week of school, according to police, in a “deliberate act of violence.”
If the social media reports are accurate, his mom recently retired from the school.
The shooter speaks some common Russian language in the video posted online.
This is a very disturbed person. However, he is remarkably lucid about the violence he is about to begin. Very creepy.
All families would be advised to watch for this type of behavior.

According to the Star Tribune, Westman's mother applied to change her name to Robin in 2020 when she was 17. According to the application, Westman "identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification," the newspaper reported.

Folks For what ever reason a high percentage of shooters are trans. during the last few years. Speculation ?
Police are calling this a hate crime... Guess it makes some people feel better
