The reality is you don't. Senators fund-raise just as much as congressmen, but the much longer term allows them to amass a war chest for endless reelection. The NYGOP cannot match dollar for dollar, and suffers from a lack of candidates willing to try. The national org will not help what they view as a lost cause.

Mandami destroying NYC may cause a huge pendulum swing upstate, but we'd need every GOP voter to show up, and that has proven to be "difficult".

I believe she was Rep for the district that includes Saratoga. She had the highest rating the NRA gave at the time. In her initial public acceptance of her senate appointment Shoomer said, yes she has a high NRA rating but she will come around to our way of thinking. And, she did, that afternoon, a woman of deep conviction that one. Effing skank!
