This is a seriously messed up story in many many ways.
Times sure do change. I went to Cornell in 1993 and graduated in 1996. There were a lot of liberals, but almost no snowflakes. They bitched about the environment and foreign wars, but there were no "woke" people like today. I was a very conservative/libertarian guy, but nobody yelled or threatened me. There were actually a lot of Republicans, and even many conservative people.
I agree with your premise but there are a lot of nuances to this story. The bus stop, the school owns the bus stop? Kinda thin.
Big headlines, he bought the weapon and ammo legally; but stoped on the wrong side of the street.
This is the exact infringement we all piss n cry about. We all know the 2nd was about government over reach and as a last resort to end it.
If you go back into the archives most here implied they would defend their homes from government aggression, why can't he?
So if I drive down the road and get pulled over in front of a school and am carrying I'm guilty? How bout walking down the street. I'll bet the kid hardly knows any laws, let alone the 479 gun laws that will change tomorrow.
He has a dual citizenship. I'm assuming since he purchased it from a legitimate shop he passed a NICS.He’s also likely legally not allowed to own a firearm/gun in the USA because of his immigration/visa status.
