A better approach would be policy that encourags them to align with you, not punitive and threatening to "make them the 51st state". Imagine Mexico threatening to turn Texas into a new Mexican Barrio, it wouldn't exactly improve relations, ya know?

Those Registration Forms you filled out, yea those are the ones we'll use to come and collect the guns.
NY has it's Handgun Licensing which we update with each recertification/renewal, and for every NICS Check that's been run on you since the State took over the checks will tell them you have at least those guns, and ammo too!
Better have a plan, be it a place no one knows about or in another State, eventually the democrats ARE going to call for the same shit.
