I would try 6.5 or 6.8 or 7.62x39, I've shot three deer with a 300BO 110gr, all boiler room shots 100-125yds...Not impressed, lost one, other two ran 250-300 yards, needed follow-up shots... Have had much better luck with the 7.62x39 Federal Fusion, same distance, only ran 20-30 yards both times..
