I have both a Mossy 500 and a Remington 1100. I shoot the 500 way better than the 1100. My wife is the opposite, she is better with the 1100. I think it has something to do with the stock angle? I feel like I can't get down over the bore with the 1100. So if you can, try before you buy.

Consider mounting it in the Magpul Backpacker stock. I just did it to mine. Makes for a really nice compact package (and now I have a twin for my 10/22 version).

FWIW, we have the "Foodsaver" brand sealer. We use it mainly to seal large frozen meat orders when we get them. I always use the "wet food" seal setting and it seems to work more consistently........
