The TRO was granted but didn't take effect right away. It had a 3 [business] day stay to allow for appeal. IANAL but I'll say that even though the state filed for appeal, the TRO will still take effect tomorrow because the appeal has not been granted.
RDCV for those that don't want to read the whole thing:
ACCORDINGLY, it is
ORDERED that Plaintiffs’ motion for a Temporary Restraining Order (Dkt. No. 6) is
GRANTED in part and DENIED in part in accordance with this Decision; and it is further
ORDERED that Defendants, as well as their...
I've lost count of how many times I've been called a racist for saying how BAD she is for the city. Never mind she's an awful human being and part of the crime problem in the city.
Can someone interpret this? The judge dismissed the case back in September, but it's still going (not that I'm complaining)?

My dad clocked one with a 2x4 once. It had climbed a fence post and its head was sitting on top, looking around. For whatever reason, it stayed there long enough for my dad to find the board, walk up to it, and take it out. A few months later he found a woodchuck skull with a crease in the...
My neighbors have a lucky bastard of a woodchuck living under their shed. I got 2 shots at the thing on Saturday and missed (my .22 isn't terribly accurate), and almost had a 3rd shot yesterday.
I can't help but laugh, though; I'm shooting at it out the window of my son's bedroom.
So apparently Suddaby IS hearing this. I swear I read that he wasn't. This could go well since he all but laid out the road map in his first dismissal.
To the layman, it sure as hell sounds good. I'm sure the state courts will agree </sarcasm>
It's so frustrating. It's clear as day how fucked up this law is, yet the NY courts don't give a shit.
Yup. I was going to apply after Bruen came down, but then everything went to hell. I was still going to apply but then training prices came out, and I just can't do it. To say I'm pissed is an understatement.
I'm with you. As it stands, I can't currently afford to get my CCW, between permit costs, training costs, and firearm costs, it's not financially viable for me. I'm looking at $1000+ to be able to carry.
Yeah, I know they roll through my parents' property once in a blue moon, as well as my extended family's property where I hunt. The hard part is the short attention span and wanting to be able to set up in a position to at least have a chance of at least seeing something.
If it were just me...
I detest the bay. It's tourist trap hell. and the parking is a nightmare. I only go down there once every couple years when I need a new hat or visor.
I agree that Clayton is way better. It has done a good job of maintaining the small town feel without being overly touristy.
Clayton...
Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered my DMPs.
My oldest was asking about taking him turkey hunting. I had to tell him that I can't because 1) I don't know where to do it, and 2) no clue HOW to do it.
