@Emkay44, the pistol range is $11 an hour if you don't have a Westchester park pass. You can stay as long as you like as long as no-one is waiting. Target changes are about every half hour, they supply you with an NRA B-8 type target. If you have any of your own you can put them up over theirs.

@Emkay44, what gun are you running? The pistol range has 20 ports. 4 are 25 yards,15 are 15 yards and the #20 port is 7 yards.

@misunderestimated, I only use belt loop attachments for my holsters and mag pouches. Blade-tech and Comp-tac make good stuff for competition. I have a few of their products.

I'm at a range once a week. I try to train either once or twice a month. The other weeks I practice reinforcing the skills I've learned while training. As you all know shooting is a perishable skill. You are only as good as you are cold. So what are you waiting for ? Get out and hone those skills !

I really want to move out of Westchester. My real estate taxes are more than what some people earn. My kids are long out of the school system so there is no reason for me to stay in this county.

I've had a M&P 40, I shot it with great success. My son has a M&P 40 2.0 and M&P 40C 2.0. He shoots them well. DO NOT BUY a M&P Shield in 40. A very hard gun to manage recoil.

If you can, stop by the court house. It probably has already been signed and is sitting on the judges desk. I did this on 2 occasions and received it in the mail 2 days later. I guess I woke them up, it's worth a try.

@Podmonkey, Actually the American Eagle 124 grain 9 mm is only .02 more a round than the Aquila 124 grain 9 mm at Target Sports USA.

@Podmonkey, I've used the Aguila 124 Grain 9mm and the Aquila 62 Grain 5.56. No problems, pretty clean ammo. Aquila is manufactured in Mexico. For a few pennies more I rather shoot American Eagle made in the USA.
