Try a Benjamin Prod. Sort of a mini-Marauder. Detachable mag, shoulder stock and shrouded barrel. These things are backyard quiet and they can be hot- rodded. Mine shot around 600fps, but I changed the Transfer port and put a stronger hammer spring in there and she went up in the 700fps...

Correct, I think we would have had to grind off both the pivot pin and the rear bolster pin to effect the installation of the pins (splitting the knife)...Just didnt want to dig that deep on this project.

We would have to have done the pins one side at a time I think. We chose not to use pins, on this project. The pins would strengthen it for sure but sitting in a display case , I think it’s fine with JB Weld.

Product called Fiebings Leather Dye. Comes In an assortment of colors. Like $5 at Walmart .This stuff is so strong, that most times I dilute it with alcohol. It will stain the toughest blonde wood that normally wouldn't take an oil stain. Be careful you dont get it on anything but the wood...

AUS8 is a good steel. I have a AUS8 Spydie Endura that I can get shaving-sharp in no time. Holds the edge great, too.
