Trigger issue was with the standard 320, not the legion. It'll come down to feel between the two guns. Legion grip is pretty big, the VP is much more contoured and it will feel like it was made for your hands.

Welcome. You could also try a .380 with ARX or Novix ammo. It's very light, so the recoil is much diminished. I use this in 9mm and the recoil is probably 1/3 less than the typical 115gr rounds.
