I targeted a buck one year all thru bow & regular season, nicknamed him bigfoot, finally got him the last day of the season. Thankfully he had a steady routine and used the same trail every morning, I just had to get high enough on the hill so he'd pass in day light. Buck was a 6 pointer and...
He came in early & left the yard to go through a field into a thicket on his way to a bedding area. I intercepted him halfway on his final journey during legal shooting hours. He's got a broken knee and shoulder with puss coming from the wounds. He's skinny now and weighed in at 76#. :(
4 pointer down, he just got double lunged with a 458 SOCOM. Not the one I wanted but he went limping through the yard just before sunrise. I intercepted him after a 60 yard stalk as he limped into my safe shot zone. Now to get a nephew for his first gutting lesson.

Now that the greatest generation has dwindled down to few there's nothing stopping them American communism is merely an election away they already have the brainwashed generation >insert tear streaked muddy face emoji<
Can you legally possess a long gun? If you're denied a pistol permit chances are you will lose all your gun rights (if you have any) & any guns currently in your possession, tread carefully.
I also use my eyeball, I'll pick out a knot in my pine wall 10' away or so and adjust the scope to the bore. I couldn't do it with my 450B so I started shooting from 15' or so from the target and adjusted between shots til I got out to 100 yds.
Half a dozen bucks running around the house including a real stud 8 pointer and the only deer that wanted to see my 450B was a button buck that was just too damn cute to shoot, although he is a fat lil bastard.
