I have been looking at one that Johnson’s has. In very good condition. Anyone know anything about these rifles?

Only things I can say about .32Winchester are it'll either shoot well (accurate) or just won't shoot worth a shit....yea, I know that doesn't seem to make sense, but that comes from personal experience and from my Gunsmith Mentor that's been full time in the Business for 40 years. The next problem is ammunition: like 16gauge it's still out there, but difficult and expensive, reloading isn't any more difficult than 30-30, but Bullet selection and availability isn't all that great.
If you want it, get it, but go into it knowing it's not the better 30-30.
DO check the Bore for rust/pitting/corrosion/dark patches.

That pretty much sums that up. The only thing that I’ll add is that if you do buy it and you have the opportunity buy a ton of ammo to go with it I would highly recommend that you do. Unless you already have a lead on some it will save you a lot of headache down the road !

They want $1200 for the rifle and 100 rounds of ammo
That's a bit high, pre-WWII 1894's are about $750 and at $2. per round for ammo....Condition dictates a premium, hard to say for sure if that's fair or not,

I personally wouldn’t go over $950 with the ammo and that’s Only if I was reeeely Jonesing for one. Even then I’d want to give it a thorough inspection .

I have an 1894 in 32 Win made in 1917. I paid $1500 for mine, but it is a 26" octagon barrel with full magazine tube. It is the Sporter special order model. The prices will vary greatly based on configuration.
As for the ammunition. Easy to reload. Brass is out there from Starline. Bullets are a bit harder to get. I reload using Hornady FTX bullets with Leverevolution powder. Pricey combo but I don't shoot it much.
