Crossdraw holsters

Saw a friend the other day, he switched to Crossdraw.
he said it makes sense because he is in his car so much.

I know appendix is frowned upon because of the junk it sweeps and is pointed at...
what is the down side of Cross draw?

The sweeping issue as you mentioned, which is merely a training issue IMO. Also it's supposed to be slower and theoretically an attacker can block the draw if they are close enough. But every carry method has its application and cross draw works better for drawing when seated. Shoulder holsters are poo pooed as well for similar reasons yet I intend to get one for its similar upsides anyway.

The junk issue, is a NON issue. As far as pros and cons of any style of carry, it all boils down to what your body type is, what is most comfortable, and that you practice that way.

Cross draw can sweep innocent people easily. Holstelring and un holstering can sweep of people arel not super diligent.

The skinnier you are the more comfortable it can be, but appendix carry is awkward to draw from a seated position.

How is appendix carry when seated or bending over to pick something up? Does it press the gun into your abdomen or pelvic area?

Well, for starters the smaller the gun the more comfortable it's going to be. But it's all relative as the more you carry, the more you get used to it and the less you notice it. I can carry while seated in the car and find a comfortable position where it doesn't bother me so much. However from a Force on Force class I took I realized that drawing from the seated position is not the quickest. So I recently installed a holster under my steering column so that when I'm sitting in the car I move the gun to that location, where it is easily accessible.

Although I will say that I find carrying in the appendix position is the fastest to access from concealment. It also offers the least telegraphing as discussed in the video I posted.

Celt, what kind of car holster did you go with? Thinking about this option for a while.
