So, I went ahead and ordered my first Carbine. Coworker is an FFL, he found one for me at a great price. Should be in by the end of the month. Got the 9mm version with Glock mags.

It's certainly a gun I know a bunch about.
It's one of the two guns I got somewhat internet famous for doing the lockwork experimentation research on that turned into what professional gunsmiths were using as reference material to do trigger jobs. The S2K was the lesser known of my two 'published' projects, while the Beretta Neos was the big one that I still get emails about to this day, 9 or 10 years later.
I say this so you know that , even though I don't have myself anymore, I'm as intimately familiar with the gun as anyone. Well, maybe not anyone.. I mean some people out there have issues ..hehe.
I have some stuff to say about it, but not the time right this moment so I'll come back to this later.

But what can you do about it, other than kvetch? My point is I would rather see such carping confined to the political forum, or better yet the other place, and instead discuss the topic at hand in this thread IE the sub2000. Post a new thread in the appropriate section if about the injustice of it. My point, Darth, is why should we fuck up this forum like we did the last one? And make no mistake, that place was jacked up well before vertical scope came in.

I had a Hipoint a few years ago and got rid of it after a while. Wasn't a bad gun, just didn't fit into what I needed.
As for Darth and his hatred of the laws; let him be. I think we all agree with him. I have a serious issue with the way the law was written as well.
I will not give up this "perk" just because I disagree with the law. That would be foolish. Darth and I have talked about this a lot. I actually think I may dislike it more than he does. I think I understand him enough to know that it is not personal. I take no offense and expect nothing less from him.
I just wanna talk about guns and gear and such. If wanted to make my head explode with politics, I'd listen to NPR. Its not about getting along or safe spaces its about talking of our shared hobby, our passion. No more distractions.

Did you shoot it yet? If so, how's the accuracy?
I was amazed at the accuracy my 9mm AR had at 100 yards. I'm pretty sure 150 yards would be no problem whatsoever but I have no such ranges by me.

Truly excellent little carbine. Any standard laptop case can second as a home for it. Fun on a single point sling. The only part I found vulnerable was the front sight,
When damaged Keltec will sent you a new one free of charge. If you want a challenge- Try disassembly and reassembly of it's clam shell receiver. A real pain in the ass!

I am resurrecting this thread to ask Mr. @GOPerfect if he still likes his Sub 2000? Has the quality and reliability been acceptable? I am strongly considering getting one but Kel Tec's reputation is making me hesitant.
I still no picked it up. My FFL brought the PW to work, I filled it out and just have not been able to hook up for the pick up. We work different jobs, different shifts and different days off. One of these days I'll get it.
