The liberals make a lot of noise, but noise doesn't necessarily turn into votes.Honestly if things don’t get sorted out here any one of them will win. The social media campaign against the republicans is insane right now and people are buying it.
It’s not Trumps fault but it doesn’t matter. He said he would reduce prices on day one. That was a stupid comment and not possible. Inflation has eased and is in line with normal at this point but that’s not enough. We need a reduction in prices. The Iran war with an increase in gas prices isn’t helping. If it ends and prices stabilize soon it won’t negatively impact him much but if it drags on the high gas prices will translate to higher inflation. The liberals make a lot of noise, but noise doesn't necessarily turn into votes.
What matters is the economy, and in that respect, I agree that there needs to be a turnaround in order for a Republican to win in 2028. Everything has gotten ridiculously expensive. I don't know that it's actually Trump's fault - generally speaking, I feel that economic outcomes are never immediate and their full effects are not really felt for years. In other words, a lot of what we're seeing now is the result of the Biden administration. But tariffs and the war in Iran certainly don't seem to be helping.
Mid terms will be a good testing ground. They are favorable to republicans so if they lose it’s a bad sign.Trump won the EC, the popular vote, and all 7 swing states in 2024. If Vance's or Rubio's platform is a continuation of Trump's policies, I don't think America is going to move from that to Harris or Newsom, given their track records.
I do agree with some of what has been posted above, that is a concern for sure. But by the same token, the Left isn't doing itself any favors either. I'm not so quick to jump on the doom train.
There's also the closed border and mass deportations to consider. I don't think most of America wants to go back to open borders and the Turd World invasion to resume.
America knows that's exactly what's going to happen if the Democrats get power again.
Then there's, as always, the Democrat voter fraud to consider.
2028 is a long way away in political time, many things will happen between now and then.
Trump makes stuff happen, who knows what those things will be? Were living in interesting times.
Trumps biggest mistake was saying he would reduce prices on day one. Nothing has gone down and only gone up. I’ve been saying a lot of your thoughts for a while now and many on here attacked me. Many of those left.Doesn't matter who they put up in '28, the Dems are gonna win. The midterms are already gone for the right. Trump convinced everyone he would change things and not be the same shitty politician that we always get. Instead, he let Susie, Pam and Benjamin drag him into the depths of the swamp he was elected to drain. He was supposed to destroy the neocons, not join them.
He has failed. Somehow he lost public opinion on immigration. A significant portion of independents bought the gestapo crap that the masks invited. The Epstein files were bungled not once but thrice. A lot of people view the Epstein situation as a proxy for the corruption and the rot that has infested our government. EVERYTHING needed to be released from the beginning and heads needed to roll. The tariffs were way too broad. They significantly hurt manufacturers in this country because virtually no supply chain resides entirely within this country. He bombed Iran, snatched the leader of a foreign country, hasn't resolved Ukraine, and started an all out war with Iran on behalf of Israel. All the while, the economy is getting worse and, while inflation numbers are okay, no one sees or feels it in their day to day. The SAVE act should have been passed last year. There's no way it gets passed in the run up to the midterms.
The right could have dominated the next decade. Now, it'll take a decade or two for them to come back. The House is gone. The Senate is likely gone too. A wave of impeachments will follow and the RINOs will help the dems slice and dice Trump and his administration. Vance should resign, distance himself from the administration and hide until '32. Let Rubio take the loss. Getting Marco out of the game is best for the country.
I don't like the situation but this is where I think we're at. The black vote, the hispanic vote, the independents - the ones who don't go back to voting blue aren't going to vote red. Red has betrayed them.
