As is my privilege, changed my mind. It's a nice rifle, chambered in a great deer/black bear cartridge, that I decided to keep. Bought it for a reason. Remembered the reason. Upgrades, here we come.

Got me 2 deer so far, since I bought it.

I'm thinking the Leupold Alumina 2-1/2" Lens Shade 40 mm Matte (Leupold p/n 56187) and the Leupold Alumina Scope Cover Kit 40 mm (Leupold p/n 62990). The shade will keep rain/snow/sleet off objective lens, and man what a diff in image quality when you eliminate direct light glare off the objective. The caps are top of the line too.

Edit: the 2-1/2" lens shade length vs 4" will compliment the 22" barrel length better I think.
