OC semi endorsement

I’m a bit confused on what’s needed now for the semi automatic endorsement. I am in Orange County, I have an unrestricted pistol permit and I’d like to get the semi automatic endorsement.
Do I just do two copies of the amendment for and ONLY check off the semi automatic license add?
Or would I treat this as a duplicate form and list out all my handguns so they can give me a new permit with the semi automatic endorsement?

I added it a while back when I amended my license to include a pistol I purchased.

Go buy another gun and include the semiautomatic endorsement. It does cost $5.

There’s no real guidance on exactly how it is required to be done. The only requirement to be endorsed is to actually have the endorsement, but how you get it and what it involves is nebulous, at best. Your most successful plan to acquire the SA endorsement is to call your County Clerk, Sheriff’s Office, pistol licensing division, or whichever authority issues pistol permits where you reside. It’s a mess.

its a permission to "purchase" a semi auto rifle .... its not a endorsement ..

people need to stop calling what it is not .

Here in the hood people just get one of the neighborhood guns left laying around in the abandoned houses/Buildings.

I clicked to not have it added to my permit but my county added it anyway. I don’t want it, I don’t trust this state. I don’t trust that they won’t ban SA rifles and come knocking or kicking to see what I have. I don’t need anymore rifles. Also when you renew/recertify your pistol permit he state police ask if you have it. I will say noon that because it has nothing to do with pistols or my pistol permit I’m renewing.
This was not Orange County. Best is to call them and ask. I’ll bet it’s simple.

In Niagara county we just ask the pistol permit office to add it to our permit. Usually done on a few minutes and usually no charge.

Erie County just go to clerks office and ask to add it. Also $5

What's fucked up is as far as I know there is no way to get a SA permit without a pistol permit. So to have a permit requirement without a way to get the permit is pretty sketchy. I'm no lawyer but that certainly seems unlawful. Not that something as trivial as lawfulness has ever stopped NY
