Years ago I worked in Haifa for a week. I jumped on a public bus and was greeted by three army persons with Uzi's on their way home from work. Not that I approve of a police state but extreme circumstances require an extreme response.

There are over 100 Thousand Public schools in the US. Less than 100 have been involved in any type of serious event.

That is about 0.1%. Holy shit!
