I like it and the MSRP is only $440 ! Seems a rather cheap price point by todays crazy prices on all things lever action . Savage is usually pretty good with the quality of their firearms. I’m going to have to seek out one of these in .22WMR

I got one for one of my customers. Wood is very nice and the finish is very good. Drilled and tapped on top for a mount so no dovetail rings needed. The action is very smooth and the trigger felt like four pounds. One nice added touch was the fore end wood is beveled to fit the contour of your hand. The rifles are made in Canada. Hope that helps.

It looks really nice and like @S&W Fan says the price is very reasonable but I can't stand tube loaders, side gate or bust.

unfortunately for me I've not had much luck with savage pretty inconsistent quality if you get a good 1it's phenomenal but most aren't i wish them the best with this

My thoughts exactly! You forgot Marlin. I am still thinking about a S&W 1854. Don't care much for Rossi. Been seeking Savage 99s..Savage needs to add some pistol carbines to the mix...with an octagon barrel...ill be sold.I love lever guns. Winchester, Henry…. Now I gotta add a Savage?
