My "Blade Remediation" project has given me an itch for a new blade. Working 6 days/ 65 hours a week has given me the freedom to scratch it. I won't fully disclose what I got just yet other than to say a "CruCarta" is inbound soon.
Something sexy(new knife) this way comes.

And here it is, the Spyderco Manix 2 "CruCarta" Cruwear steel blade with canvas micarta scales and a ball bearing lock-
Cruwear can be thought of as super D2, a semi-stainless steel that has high toughness and edge retention but is superior to D2 is all respects.
I have never used a knife with this style of lock before, it is similar in function to tge Benchmade Axis lock but is stiffer in operation. However the Axis lock Omega springs are subject to breakage as has happened to my Mini Grip while the ball bearing lock of the Manix 2 uses a simpler coil spring which is not likely at all to fail.
This is probably my nicest knife in my collection now. The action and lock up are extremely smooth.

Ah yes, the inevitable consequence to getting a new knife. Got blood all over the scale too. But a little water, a drop of hand soap and a toothbrush cleaned it right up. Re-oiled and good as new.
The blade had that no pain cut sharpness BTW
