"THE PHOTO OF THE DAY" This photo was given to me by a friend of mine with the Chicago Fire Department it is of the front suction hose showing what crap was sucked into the hose from the fire hydrant. Years ago some folks use to pour gasoline into the hydrant barrel so the first water into the pump and on the fire if not using tank water was filled with the gasoline. So, check your hydrants before hooking up a hose line. Make sure you flush the hydrant good. Hey as I was told my first day on the job "Its not your house on fire, so take your time and do your job right. Be Professional".
