What NY wants to do is opposite of what TX did with 30.05/30.06/30.07 signs with the default being no guns allowed. TX had a particular standard for the sign, size, wording, location etc. From what I have read the permitted sign in NY just has to indicate (from horechuls quote) 'something to the extent of concealed carry allowed'. As of now there does not appear to be a standard of language size etc.

If this is the case, what stops freedom loving vandals from slapping a preprinted 4x6 Avery label on the door to shithole walmart as they enter?
Muddy the waters as much as possible on where its permitted or not. The minions will get sick of scraping the stickers off the doors eventually and just leave them.

They'll add it as a condition of the business license or something.

"Your normal license requires you to prohibit firearms, bit for an extra $1000/year you can have the enhanced license that allows it, and also adds a bunch of additional onerous requirements".

Then when the business that doesn't really want to prohibit anything sees someone printing, they'll have to call the cops or risk their license.

Then the cops show up and trespass the guy and say to themselves "the owner has a right to post his property" as if it was his choice to do so.

I was thinking more of the mask requirement bullshit.

We even had people here who defended the "right" of businesses to require that, completely ignoring the fact that many of them were forced to require them against their will.

That's like saying the sex was consensual because she asked for it, even though the guy with the knife demanded she do so.

Yuuup, huge day.. Young is meh but the others are big.

Downside when they are sent back to the Circuit courts (9th, 4th and 3rd) their new ruling would only affect the states in their jurisdiction. But the good news is those rulings can/will be used in future cases hopefully here in NY and the 2nd circuit

That is interesting and IMO worse than doing nothing. There are some yahoos that don’t know how to holster their weapons properly. Also it’s voluntary to participate right? By voluntary I mean I can walk in with a gun concealed and not say anything and the vast majority of times no o e would ever even know.

Stop and Frisk is as dead as a dodo...............no store owner can lay a hand on you and frisk you...cops either.

Unless you are determined to flash a belt carry holster, almost openly, and shout to the world........".FUCK YOU-- IN YOUR FACE", like Rambo, no one will ever know ,OR SHOULD KNOW, that you are carrying a gun concealed, legally..........women carry on purses all the time.

Be like James Bond..the law is now on your side.

On the first 48 the other night, in 2019, Tusla cops lead a skinny short, 120 lb women out in cuffs, then frisked her, and she was concealing a glock in her tight yoga pants , in her rear end area...could not be detected except by frisking.

CONCEALED CARRY IS NOT OPEN CARRY.

The proper procedure is to remove the gun while it remains in the holster. They are one. The weapon should never come out. You lock them up together.

It's not stop and frisk. In any police encounter they have the right to pat down for weapons. This is long upheld. All it takes is a suspicion for there to be an encounter.

If you have an unrestricted NYS PP, it was always concealed carry.............you could carry in your car, on your person, it is the intent of the law, BE ARMED................no such restriction ever existed for unrestricted licenses......... and that is what we have now.........unrestricted licenses............no locked box in trunk, no separate ammo anymore.

If you are under arrest for DWI, you will be frisked before being cuffed.................I am not aware of a normal, non gang citizen being stopped and frisked "for safety", by MALL Cops, or in the supermarket, or parts store, or driving around normally.

Be discreet, as always. No one should know you are carrying.
