Good. While I care little to get a bumpstock it’s great that they say the ATF can’t just make shit up and go rogue.
I agree here... it's a good thing to see its getting sorted out.Good. While I care little to get a bumpstock it’s great that they say the ATF can’t just make shit up and go rogue.
It goes beyond that. We have a very liberal president and he can instruct the AFT to ban all sorts of things. It’s good the see a judge say nope this isn’t an administrative instruction thing and has to go through Congress. I suspect the same thing will happen with student loans and possible the 80% receiver thing now.I agree here... it's a good thing to see its getting sorted out.
I have too little interest in bumpstocks. I just want to see NYers be able to carry again without their constitutional rights getting trampled.
I can only imagine what the congress will look like in the next couple election cycles. Indoctrinated coddlers will be taking it over from the hippies from the 60`s soon. I`m pretty old, i may never live long enough to see it happen, but these little brainwashed twerps are going to be in there, soon. Some of the folks here are young enough, you`re going to have one hell of a fight coming. You better be well ahead of it, and ready! It goes beyond that. I know Trump did the bumpstock thing but Biden could do more.
Time will surely tell. I agree I don’t expect it to get any easier especially with Biden importing 30,000 refugees from a few countries each month. Of course those countries are selected specifically to change the political landscape.I can only imagine what the congress will look like in the next couple election cycles. Nope. SCOTUS can not make rulings on items not before them. If this is appealed and SCOTUS takes the case, they can rule on bump stocks, and nothing else. Forced reset triggers, magazine capacity, Hello Kitty pictures on the receiver, none of that could be ruled on. Those are seperate cases.

I sincerely think that the "open carrying" being in yellow print authorizes legal concealed carry. Otherwise, why would they emphasize those 2 words? Maybe I'll email corporate. If I recieve a positive answer in their response, that would be the perfect evidence to show any LEO if necessary.§ 265.01-d Criminal possession of a weapon in a restricted location.
1. A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in a
restricted location when such person possesses a firearm, rifle, or
shotgun and enters into or remains on or in private property where such
person knows or reasonably should know that the owner or lessee of such
property has not permitted such possession by clear and conspicuous
signage indicating that the carrying of firearms, rifles, or shotguns on
their property is permitted or has otherwise given express consent.
But it's also vague it doesn't say pistol, but can be construed as "firearm".

Probably wishful thinking....I knowGood luck.
Never envisioned having to worry about this stuff....even before Bruen....Probably wishful thinking....I know
That’s how I interpret that sign at my local Walmart. They have made it clear that they support carrying just prefer you to conceal it for other customers.Noticed tonight the sign at Walmart that says "Please refrain from open carrying of firearms" with "open carrying" emphasized with yellow print. I really wanna interpret that as legal concealed carry is allowed on the premises. Anyone with an opinion on this please weigh in....
They will likely tell you it’s fine. They allow guns to be carried in their stores. Do it and let us know.Probably wishful thinking....I know
Sounds good brother. I'll email them tonight. They will likely tell you it’s fine. They allow guns to be carried in their stores. Do it and let us know.

In New York State law, firearms are often legally different than shotguns and rifles but are all handguns. All firearms are illegal in New York except under certain exemptions, one of which is having a permit. That’s why one can’t own a gun or possess without a permit or other exemption in the law. But one can own and possess a rifle or shotgun in most places of the state without a permit.§ 265.01-d Criminal possession of a weapon in a restricted location.

They are still firearms under the law. Its possession falls under one of the exemptions which is having a permit .Pistols, in NY, are considered firearms unless they’re on a permit, at which point they’re no longer firearms. That could be an interesting argument.
I wonder what would happen if I put a bumpstock on my bolt action AR15. Since it has no gas system it can only be fired manually. Would the ATF heads explodeI never even knew what a bumpstock was until AFTER Drump had them banned. Nonetheless, we have to care and fight for every part to a firearm, whether we don`t care for this one, or care more for that one. Because if not enough people care about ALL firearms parts, they will just keep rolling over us until EVERY part is banned. I say GOOD, for those that fought the fight for their bumpstocks. Bumpstocks aren`t nothing i want or need, but i`m in their corner to fight to keep what is rightfully theirs/ours to buy and own.
My bad. You’re rightThey are still firearms under the law. Its possession falls under one of the exemptions which is having a permit .
Trying to claim that a handgun is not a firearm is laughable.....My bad. You’re right
