We have one of the most unique opportunities facing us in this upcoming election. As much as you don't like either candidate, nobody is suggesting you go out to dinner with either of them. Nobody is asking you to befriend either of them. The unique opportunity we are presented with is the following.
Very rarely, if ever, in our country's history have we had the chance to vote for either of the major party's candidates that have both been in the highest seats of successive administrations. We are getting to vote for a former President and the current Vice President (some say the acting President). So we have a very nice comparison of their actions during their terms in office compared to what they're saying they'll do when elected.
One of these two candidates has flip flopped, waivered, lied, and changed their tune from how they've already (currently) governed as opposed to what they claim they'll do if elected. Why? Please tell me why they'll suddenly do things differently? Or are they just pandering to get the votes? Sorry, rhetorical question. Harris has had, and currently has, the chance to do the things she claims she'll do.
President Trump on the other hand has proven himself. He doesn't flip flop, change his stance or pander to anyone. We know precisely what he wants to do. Is he the most eloquent speaker? Far from it. But that isn't necessarily what we need. We need someone with the strength and fortitude to keep our country safe and the rest of the world at bay. President Trump has proven, in spades, that he's capable of keeping the worlds collective guns chambered, but unfired. Our economy, inflation, and cost of everything we need to survive and live in comfort was beyond better, looking back, it was something we all dream about, and wish we could bring back.
Please, @JunkBoxFull, before you throw in the towel, consider which time in YOUR life you had it better, during President Trumps administration or during the Biden/Harris regime. Remember, nobody is perfect. If you're married, do honestly agree with everything, lock stock and barrel, that your spouse believes? How can any of us say we agree with every single thought, action or quirk of any other human being? President Trump is no different. Nobody is asking anyone to become BFF's with our former President. Just think about how your life was four years ago, and how it compares to your life today.
And one last parting reminder. When we pull the curtain of that voting booth, it's nobodies business but our own who we pull that lever for.

Thanks guys, well said. But at this point in my OLD life, i don`t give a phuck what either party does anymore. I`ve already seen what trump has said and done, and yes, i voted for the moron, twice, because like YOU said, POLICIES MATTER. While I kind of agree with a lot of what Junkbox said, I will still vote....... again, for what I perceive to be the lesser of 2 evils. Been that way all my adult life. Its been my belief since the 80's that the 2 parties just pretend to be at polar opposites but are only in it for themselves and their allies. They put on that front to keep the common people at odds with each other. If Trump wins and doesnt get whacked, nothing will change. He'll have 4 yrs of spouting about draining the swamp and fighting allegations by the left, he'll pass some good EO's which will be erased next election cycle. He'll be done and fade into obscurity. And nobody in the republican party will step up to continue his fight.

I'm a little more optimistic than you are, if Trump gets elected. Yeah he'll do a slew of EOs that will probably get gone the next time a Dem wins the office. I agree there aren't many stark differences between the red and blue teams. But I don't believe Trump is a true team red player, which is why the Repubs fight him almost as hard as the Dems do. I'm sure he learned a lot from his 1st term and expect he'll work it differently this time around. So maybe he could actually get something done if he gets a 2nd term. I know... long shot there. Especially in draining the swamp, but I believe he'll put forth the effort.
What I do agree with that Junkbox says, is maybe a hard shot of commie and or socialist rule is what the country might ultimately need. Many people in the US, both wagon pullers and wagon riders have their heads in the sand, or up their ass, or are just plain spoiled. And maybe getting a real taste of life with a communist in the white house would open some eyes. And who knows, maybe even bring on a revolution. Maybe that's what the country needs to get back on track. Like a drug addict or alcoholic, often you need to hit rock bottom before turning things around.

Exactly, and he cant be bought and apparently cant be scared off. I believe that for the past 50 yrs any candidate that pushed for change during their campaign has been scared into compliance with threats so if they get elected they will toe the line. Seen so many repubs promise drastic change only to get in office and do nothing to that end. I wonder if they may just let him win this time, harrass him for 4 yrs and be done with him and it will be back to business as usual.
