Plain and simple, we cannot keep running our country on borrowed money. We need to downsize the government, and that means some government employees will be out of a job. Heaven forbid public sector workers face a layoff like everyone in the private sector has experienced.

I agree. I’d be upset if I lost my job over this as well but I’m signing on later this week to have a second job and my previous job would hire me back immediately. My health insurance would cost me more but I’d probably get a $20,000 raise so it wouldn’t be ok in the end. I never want all my eggs in one basket.
