The question I beg is the time line between when it was announced that Kirk had been shot with a 30'06 and the discovery of A rifle in the Woods....Did the announcement precede the discovery?

If the scope was removed and remounted after he was on the roof how true to center would it be when shot ? If it remained on the rifle shoved into the pants how true would the scope be true to center ? Scope would have been banged around a bit .
There are removable scope mounts that don’t or very slightly affect zero. Not enough to miss at 200 yards anyway. Most of them are made in Germany.
The mounting of the scope is suspect: Now I know there are off-set Rings and bases which could be what's in the picture, then there's the question of the Bolt shroud and safety clearing the eye piece, the objective against the receiver ring...there's a whole lotta Bubba going on there for a accurate 200yd. shot.
BTW: Where are the cartridges supposedly still in the Rifle when found? (EVERY Cop I know would have cleared the weapon and left the Action open for safety)

Yeah the rings look a little low. But then again I have some bolts that come close to the eye piece when they are opened. So it may work on that gun.
I would argue it was not only the words, but the enormous impact their words combined with their mannerisms had on their followers. They lived what they preached and that is why they were so dangerous to their advisories.

Occasionally We have gone to great pains to mount Optics on "Mauser" type Rifles, including safety's and measuring for Bases not listed as compatible, and sometimes even then you cannot use the scope supplied for the Rifle...I'm not saying that the set-up isn't viable or operational, just that it's sketchy and not given to accuracy....I can't imagine shooting that Rifle in the Prone Position without wearing the scope.
Very true, I have seen people want to mount short scopes on magnum actions and just had to shake my head. The scope looks like it is mounted as far back as it can be to go on the rifle. The front bell looks like it barely clears.
One does have to wonder if this is the actual rifle. I did not see a rifle in the video of the alleged shooter coming off the roof. Did he throw it down off the roof before the video picked him up moving across the roof? I have questions but no reasonable answers with the evidence presented in the media.

The Photo is so blurry I just can't say if it's a large or small Ring...actually it doesn't even look like a "Mauser" Action, but then again it's been sporterized and possibly re-barreled...The Picture probably came from someone's cell phone, snapped while being secured.
IF and I say IF, the FBI is colluding with a false narrative, a blurry photo released into the wild from an anonymous source just pours fuel into the Lamp. (gaslighting)
Oh, and yes it does look "short" but the scope bases extending into the opening could make it appear that way, and would hinder loading and extraction...these Rifles weren't designed to be scoped and "Sniper" Rifles are a complete departure from the Sporter set ups commonly seen.

At first I thought he tossed the gun off the roof and the scope got pushed back, possible but unlikely.
As said before, where are the towels, and the extra rounds? Why is the gun in a box with no evidence tag? Why is the bolt not tied open?
It's almost like we're getting only half of the story.

Some people were trying to say he broke down the rifle and put it in the bag, why wouldnt he have done so when he was going there too? secondly were all pretty sure its not a break down rifle, 3rdly, Im supposed to believe he jumped off the roof and ran away from the crime scene and just decided to put it back together in the woods before he dumped it? And I dont want to hear about a friend who picked up the rifle after being tossed off the roof running to a car while everyone is looking around and dumping the rifle on the path the shooter took And If so then ya better make the arrest on the friend.

If I can speculate I would entertain the possibility , that it wasnt this kid , it was a professional hit disguised as lone wolf amateur,
If I were going to set this thing up, all those videos would have been done days or weeks before, I would have made sure somebody saw a guy on the roof , days before, I would have made sure , I had pics of the shooter in the hallway , I would have a professional shooter hit him in the neck to make it looked like he almost missed , the real shooter would have been well inside the building, nobody is looking inside the building because the shooter jumped from the roof already, WHy write on the shells and never extract it? that was kinda the point of writing on them . The rifle was pre-planted in the woods .For all we know the kid wasnt even there, the only thing we have is the pics in the hallway which could have been taken weeks ago with a fudged time stamp . Nobody saw him there , only grainy video of him walking with a limp which may have been faked if it was even him to begin with . Who knows if this kid was supposed to show up but had a bad feeling about something and said fuck that , something is wrong here. Never showed up and fucked up the entire story, He was supposed to killed there by law enforcement.
Now the FBI has to explain why the rifle is in the woods and how the kid made it home that day and confirmation of what he did on that day and the last few days before his arrest.
I saw this kind of shit with the sandy hook shooting where the video evidence was contradicted by the eyewitness's and vice versa
One where barbra sibley said she heard shots and hid behind a fire truck , why was the fire truck there, and why wasnt the firetruck caught of video ? Why didnt gene rosen call the police when 5 terrified kids ran to his house and told them thier teacher was shot dead? I dont want to get into it but the whole story of what happened was bullshit.
