Do you think that even a statistically relevant portion of those just "wanted to kill Jews" ? If so, do you really consider yourself to be knowledgeable about Palestinian culture and thought to make that claim ? C'mon now. I sure don't.
No one is saying to discount the suffering caused by Hamas on Oct. 7th, but I'd say that to anyone, with any morality and care for humans in general, that doesn't in any way, by just throwing it out there, justify the deaths of ~65000 (civilians only) and well over a million (who knows how many) people suffering terribly, starving, being put in camps, with no medical facilities to go to, who we CAN say that ~75% of didn't even support armed resistance at all, let alone attacks.

You have some good points, but I think they apply more to *any* military base, than American one in particular. Some of that is inevitable when you get a large population of young men in one location.

I don't believe American soldiers are generally any less well behaved than other nations troops.

I think that probably applies even *more* strongly in the middle east. If the locals resent an American base due to some crime, imagine replacing those soldiers with Saudis.
