That’s not his polling numbers. That is his approval rating. Gillibrand was on the 2024 ballot so that means Schumer will be on the 2026 ballot. The issue will be the republicans will pick so no name person, will not out any money into the campaign, and more than likely 10% of people will know where he stands.
Schummer’s approval rating means little to nothing in this state. Mandami just won NYC and so many here will just check the box because he has a D attached to him. He will not lose. All one needs to do it look at the 2024 presidential race when Harris beat Trump by about 10 points and Gillibrand won by about 25-30 points over her no name unknown competitor.
The Republican Party in NYS is all but dead. My town just went 100% democrat. Every elected official is now a democrat.
Here is Gillibrand’s numbers up until election. If you notice 27% of Republican said they would vote for her in NYS. She’s a rabid liberal so what is that? They don’t know the opponent and the same will hold true now.

Correct they are 6-year terms. I was thinking 4-year terms. I don’t think he will run again. He’s pretty old.
