Westchester Full Carry Permit process/timeline

Got a little money squirreled away and was thinking about taking the class and applying for my full carry permit. Had my pistol permit since I was 21. I know everything involved with the permits is more expensive here now. But other than the fees, can anyone shed some light on how the process will go? Anyone here go through it recently?

What kind of PP do you have? Residence only?

Had a friend - filed the amendment the day before Thanksgiving (we met for lunch), he was called up a week ago to the judge, he received the new permit on Friday.

Make sure to add the semi-auto amendment as well. No extra time/cost involved if you are doing the CCW amendment.

Oh wow. Quicker turnaround than I thought. And when I renewed my permit, I got the semi auto amendment.

This is correct. Take class first then apply for upgrade.

Over 8 months to get Full Carry upgrade from a 30 year Full Carry. I was one of the lucky ones that had to speak to a judge. That was an interesting experience for the both of us.

Yeah, 16 hour class with live fire. Send in application. You will then have an interview with a judge
