Has anyone seen one of these? I looked at on on Saturday and I must say it is an interesting shotgun. It has double feed tubes like a KSG but it also has double barrels. Hold 7 rounds in each tube and 2 in the chamber. It is pretty heavy at 9+ pounds. Seems to be made very well. Doesn't feel cheaply made at all. It is very expensive at $1499. At least it was where I saw it. On line I have seen it at around $1300.

I have handled one at runnings in clay. I do like it and may get one down the road. When I was researching the dp -12, I did read about feeding issues while pointing down at a certain angle.

They do serve a purpose unlike what the naysayers say. You get 15 rounds without reloading at a package length of 26 inches compared to low capacity 40 inch long Mossbergs and Remingtons.

Perfect for close quarters.

So does the KSG, but I think the point here is the double barrels.

It's on my list of future acquisitions, for packaging+capacity reasons, and because I'm occasionally drawn to oddball mechanical devices. Price point is on the high side for me, so it's down the list a bit, behind a nice Garand and a few other odds and ends.

I tried one at a range day put on by one of the local merchants of liberty. It was heavy but it felt solid, fuctioned well and had pretty good "pointability".

But I didn't like the operating system: rack once, shoot twice. Even sitting at a bench, I lost track. "Did just I shoot once or twice?" "Do I have to cycle now?"

If I got confused in that situation, I could imagine what might happen under stress. Too much thinking.

Yea. I said that in another thread that it could happen and some shrugged me off. It happened to you and you didn't have adrenaline running through your veins.

Like any other firearm, you practice with it and you'd adapt quickly I'm sure. Bang Bang Rack seems like it'd burn into muscle memory relatively easily. The sticking point I would have is then picking up a conventional pump shotgun and pulling the trigger twice in between pumps.

You can train all you want but when lead is coming at you that is a different story.

Do you want to know how many guys overseas pull the trigger with the safety on in oh snap moments? I've even seen it in training and that's just a safety.

It's counter-intuitive. It doesn't run like any other gun in my arsenal. Even though they all may operate a little differently, they are all very intuitive. None of them require any math or thinking.

I would have thought that sounds a little ridiculous too, until I tried it. Just try before you buy.

The DP-12 is FAR from a gimmick! I have had one for going on 2 years. I paid over 1300, but Buds Gun Shop online has them for just over 1K. I love my pump guns and love the idea of the double barrel. Well, Standard Manufacturing has solved my problem. The DP-12 was my answer: a double barrel pump! Can't get any better than that. My DP-12 operates FLAWLESSLY! I love the idea and practice of being able to "double tap" a 12 gauge. You can bring enough ammo to the fight within the gun. So 5 stars for the DP-12. Smooth as silk in its operation.

I have seen these in a local shop and talked to owners at a range. Maybe a candidate as a SAFE home defense option especially with the recurring instances of home invasions by teams . Bad on my part but I would spend the money in a heartbeat if it would pi$$ off lord FUAC.
