Hornady ELD vs. A-Max loads?

I have Edition 9 of their reloading manual, which has loads listed for 129 G and 140 G A-Max. Does anyone have Edition 10, and can you confirm/deny that ELD Match bullets would take the same charge weights as the A-Max's in 6.5 CM? I would guess that the same weights would take the same charges, but I would prefer not to guess. Thanks.

Well he just texted me and said to go by the weight of the bullet the style makes no difference. I have the ELD in 140 as well as the BTHP. Are you loading them to max length? Or into the lands?

Everything I read says those powders are too fast for the 140s. Guys do you varget for the 123s. I would try to find a little slower powder for the 140s

C.O.L. (LOL) - I'm not clued in enough to work the lands yet. Nice to know my guess regarding weight as the determinant wasn't totally off base though.

Easiest way to learn lands seating is to cut a case mouth/neck with a Dremel. Cut it into quarters so it still has some tension. Chamber it and then gently remove it from the action. Carefully measure Base to ogive with a micrometer and bullet comparator. Do this 5 times and take the average. Should get you pretty close. Then experiment with seating depth from there
