Let an HOA post a rule that you may not have visitors who are black and see how much difference it makes if you willingly signed that paper.
Apples to Oranges!

Not at all. Both immoral thugs.Apples to Oranges!
And the mob *can* force people to pay protection money all day long too, doesn't make it right (or legal).
Irrelavant, what they are doing is wrong. And you didn't have to sign and live there!

Contract is immoral, therfore void as far as I'm concerned.Maybe immoral but you sign the contract!
How exactly is comparing one constitutionally protected right to another apples to oranges ?Apples to Oranges!
How exactly is comparing one constitutionally protected right to another apples to oranges ?
What exactly is different about the guarantee that you may have guests of whatever race you want, and the guarantee tha you may keep arms ?
They can try. But they cannot force you to not have guns. What are they going to do? Inspect your house? Pat you down for a ccw before you come home? You keep ignoring that point and in another 3 posts you'll say again that they can. They can't do squat without searching your home.Sorry Pod but a landlord can and the HOA can if you sign a contract to that affect!
And you don't have to abide!Your Constitutional right to Arms is only protected from the Government not a property owner or in this case a HOA! That you signed a contract with!

If it's a coop and not a condo, the laws are quite interesting and the "owners" don't fully own the property.
The same color on one house? Or all houses the same color?I’m the president of my HOA.
We’re extremely laid back though. Our only big deal is keeping the siding the same color.
Understandable.Townhouses, so all the same.

It is a dream of mine to one day have my own house on my own property out by itself somewhere. My metric would be that it has to be secluded enough that I could piss off the front porch at any given hour of the day and not raise a ruckus.
Ya, I also want to be able to shoot in my back yard. In fact I'd like to be able to setup berms out to 400 yards.I've been looking at houses in Texas when I go down and visit. Some are far enough outside Austin city limits that you're allowed to shoot in your backyard, assuming your neighbors know what the noise is about and whatnot.

I know New Braunfels! Well I'd drive past there on I 35 on my way to Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio. Nice area.I think there are still some rules such as you can't be within so many feet of a highway and whatnot, but if you get some land that's not facing that way I think you're good. Might want to check with the local and state police though before you start firing off rounds on your ranch land though.
The local LEO down there is incredibly chill. I was looking over AKs while I was down there, and the LEO guys were also looking over firearms in the same shop. Totally chill and everything.
Was at a gun show down in New Baunfels as well -- local PD were handling the entrances. People walking into the show basically with AR-15s just strapped to their backs. I believe they had to be checked in though at the door, as the show didn't allow loaded rifles into the show itself and could be reclaimed on the way out. Gotta love open carry though.

Was Schiltterbahn north or south of there? I can't remember. That was a helluva fun place to go!Don't go to the snake zoo there. They neglect their animals. I saw a snake just dead in the cage, and two king snakes housed together. Snakes are not social animals. Saw them biting each other.
Otherwise it seems like a decent place. Went there with a friend who was looking for grips for his 1979 colt python. But the original grips for it are like $300ish dollars (the last part he needs) so he was looking to see if he could find a deal on them for less.
He's got a blue one, like this:

I'm a polar bear and all but, frankly, I'd still not want to visit a waterpark when its 60 out.No idea. Never went there. I'm always there when it's "cold" to them, which is around 50-60 degrees. I'm outside in basically shorts an a T-Shirt and everyone is in winter jackets. Not sure it's open then.
That's a good metric to go by.Understandable.

Texas is not that straight forward. Localities can have separate rules from the state (within state guidelines) and regulations vary by acreage (greater than 10 or greater than 1000), vary by firearm being discharged, with different minimum distances (dwelling, property line, park, hospital, state parks, preserves, housing development, schools, certain creeks / lakes) and the list goes on. It is expected the bullet/projectile does not leave your property.I've been looking at houses in Texas when I go down and visit.
