The Republicans really need to stop caring what the Dems will complain about.

They are massive hypocrits and they use their fake outrage as a bludgeon, and the Republicans fall for it every time.

They will make a giant deal about how outrageous something is anytime its politically convienent for them. They do this because it works, the Republicans stop.

Now by that definition equity is bad because it gives everyone the same outcome based on some preconceived notion of the need to make right past wrongs or injustices (which is bullshit in my opinion but since I'm a straight white boy my opinion doesn't matter).

Equality is giving everyone a level playing field and having the same set of rules apply. For example, you can't not hire or admit to school someone who is black simply because they are black. You can refuse to hire them or admit them to school because they don't meet the standard set of requirements that everyone has to follow regardless of skin color.

I define Liberty as living the life you choose without interference from others (whether they be in the public or private spheres) as long as you're not harming any one else. Again, my definition my not be the same as everyone else. In that sense I could see "equality" and "liberty" coexisting.

At least that's how I kind of understand it based on all the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) trainings I've had to do since George Floyd's death. The scary thing is all these trainings they're pushing on me are basically saying I need to be an anti-racist and to do that I need to give preferential treatment to black and brown people (which by definition in my mind is racist) to make up for past abuses. It really makes your head spin trying to figure out the logic of how any of this is fair by any reasonable definition.

Oh, and in all those DEI trainings they're cramming down my throat not once has personal responsibility or liberty been discussed. It's really quite telling in my opinion.

Equality and liberty aren't compatible either.

Equality says both Michael Jordan and I should have had the same chance of playing basketball professionally.

Liberty says the owner of the team gets to pick who he wants.

Had a coworker who submitted his grandson's picture to a local radio station "cutest baby" contest website.

There was no prize, just who's picture was on the top of the list.

The winner had several hundred thousand votes (all were counted).

I can't remember if the coworker's grandson won or not, but I know he had hundreds of thousands of votes. He was not the only one.

I know for certain (and how the scripts that voted worked) the vast majority (like 99.99+%) of those votes were not "legitimate".

I would be surprised if there were more than a few thousand legitimate votes in the whole contest, yet the top 10 had millions between them.

People have presented far more evidence of fraud in the last election than for that contest.

I may be stupid (and who am I to fact check official fact checkers) but, FB fact checkers confirmed (through official government sources) there are 130,000,000 registered voters on the roles (I assume that must include living, dead, illegal, and duplicates of those who moved) and the entire media is reporting 155,000,000 million votes cast in the 2020 Presidential election. Even common core math has that at a 119%+ voter turnout. That's better than banana republic 90% turnout numbers.
