That is not made by Barnett. Merely marketed by them as do some other companies. To figure out if your Barnett xbow is a problem waiting to happen, look where the string is when it is cocked in relation to the nock of the bolt. If it's sitting lower than the nock, it has the potential to be a problem. If not, it should be gtg.

Just the other day I picked up my new crossbow. Went with an Excalibur GRZ2 (Matrix GRZ2 | Excalibur Crossbow).
I was really tempted to get the Ten Point but it was very expensive (like $1500 more expensive) so I figured I'd go inexpensive this go around and in a year or two if I use it a lot or really like it then I'll upgrade. Shot it a few times at the shop's range where I bought it. Very accurate. Haven't had a change to try it out at home yet but looking forward to it.

I still don't know much about them. I know how to use it safely, for shooting and loading, though it still creeps me out a bit when inserting the bolt. I did buy a special bolt for unloading it, it is heavy and has a big fat tip on it, so I just shoot it into a dirt bank, so far it has held up well. I use the mechanical broad heads that came with it, they work, shot at two deer with them, killed two deer with them.
