As the local elections loom the question arises as to whom to vote for in each county as pro 2A. To many, these will be the most impactful to thier day to day lives. Post your opinions here as to local county officials who support the 2A and who should be avoided. ( judges obviously being the most critical).

Also, a little hint. Whenever you see "equitable" used, it's a code word for "redistribution of wealth." I've seen this in a few places as a sly way of putting in a word that most would consider "equal," but that's not what it means. It means giving unfairly to different people and races, so you should read it as such.

I need to call back the local town zoning. I know during political season they "tolerate" political signs for politicians in public areas only during elections. I wonder if they will also tolerate signs posting shit about these politicians. I'd love to start posting signs about what the language these politicians means implies.

I am not voting as dominion systems are still in use here in NYS.

There is nothing to apologize for. It is perfectly reasonable to ask if there are any pro-gun people running for local office. Since none of the supposedly 2A organizations bothered to put out a voter guide this is all that is available.

Based on the sample ballot for my area, the four State Supreme Court justice positions are all unopposed. Each person is listed on almost every line: Democrat/Republican/Conservative, and, for two of them, the Working Families line. "Vote for up to four" with only four choices.
Only the Councilperson position is up for grabs between one listed as a Democrat and one listed as a Republican.
William P. Fox = D
Christopher M. Caulfield = R
Everything else is no choice at all.
I'll go through the motions of "voting" just so I can say "I did it!", even though I know the 5 proposals will be accepted by the powers-that-be once they massage the totals.

Same in my area. Virtually everyone on the ballot is running unopposed (except for two local Town positions). All the State Supreme Court Justices are running unopposed and they're all not even on the Republican Line, just Dem and Working Families (won't make a difference but I won't be casting a ballot for any of them).

And for the record, in my opinion I think the Ballot Initiatives (on the back of your ballot) are perhaps even more important. With the possible exception of the 5th one (raising the NYC Civil Court amounts from $25,000 to $50,000) I plan on voting no on every one of them. No good can come of any of them!
