When I put this together I bought a heavy bolt catch with extension. Even before I bought it, from the picture, I couldn't see how this would work, and I was right, it doesn't.
In fact, with it in hand, I don't see how it could work even if the extension ddid reach the magazine.
There is no...
So I'm shooting my 9mm carbine, after twenty rounds I see this sitting under the gun.
After an audible WTF, I determined it to be the extractor, loaded a couple loose rounds in a magazine and fired them off, no problem. The pin was still in the bolt, and good thing because had either of those...
Why a prism? Because I have astigmatism, simple as that. I have the Vortex one, but I'm looking for something a bit more inexpensive, preferable with a 1MOA dot. As always I appreciate peoples thought's and experience's here, positive and negative.

I'm looking for something in the 5"- 6" range. Googling gives me a ton of pistol scopes which are way too long, or regular rifle scopes in the 3-1/2"- 4" range. I want to push the objective lens down past the charging handle on a gun with a particularly strong recoil spring making it extremely...
Anyone order from them? Just got three promotional emails from this outfit crowing about how they got California to allow people to buy ammo again without background checks. Just wondering if they ship to NY, or are they just another exploiter.

Anyone have experience with this?

Seems like a good buck for a hand full of plastic, but it it works I guess its worth it.

Does anyone have experience with these triggers, quality, reliability? I found some on sale.

This is a stock I am working on made from a piece of 'curly' ash. It still has scraper marks showing but I just wanted to show just one small thing among many that we are losing as a result of chi-com indifference to our sovereignty as a nation.
The vertical stripes are the 'curl', the...
I use these with machines like Table saw, jointer and band saw to move them out of the way when not in use, frees up a lot of shop space. This one measures about 24" X 28", so its' pretty adaptable for whatever you got. Seems like $25.00 ought to be a fair price. You pick up.

I loaded five rounds below max for the setup I am using and they do have marks from the ejector on the rim. The primer isn't flattened out and pin dent look okay though. Sure doesn't seem to me I'm over doing it, but would appreciate opinions.
Three of the casings have dents from the deflector...
I was thinking of putting this on one of my guns so I would be able to have the removable magazine. However, I don't want to cut the threads off the muzzle. So is a cap with thread lock acceptable? I can't keep all these nonsensical law straight?

When I am not getting good groups, I like to know I have done everything I can to make all my bullets as exactly the same as I can. So trimming is something I just do as a matter of course. The case I am trimming, according to SAAMI is 1.600", +0, -.020. I have a mixture of Starline and American...
Poor little guy was dead in the road in front of the house. I was in a hurry and didn't get a picture of the face which would make it a bit easier to tell. Looks like a big mink or a small fisher to me. Is the fisher the one with the longer tail? I know we have minks around here, and fishers are...
I reloaded a bunch of ammo and toward the end I decided to check the scale weight against another scale and was shocked at the difference, not even close, both are counter-beam scales. So now I'm pretty sure the one I use for reloading is correct but don't know for certain. A few years ago I...
I have an extra set of standard trigger parts and was thinking of experimenting with making it a touch lighter and with a cleaner break-off. I was wondering if anyone here has done this and knows of any pitfalls I might look out for. It is a pretty straight forward simple mechanism but there...
YesterdayI had an AR out for some final inspection and such in preparation for a sight in session. Put it back in the bag and spent the rest of the day doing house hold stuff with beer's. So this morning I go down to the shop with my cup of high test. I glance over at the bench and see this pin...
Hoping for a Win/Win here. Looking for a good quality set of .308 reloading dies. Before I buy new, maybe someone has a dust collector they would part with. Thanks!

Anyone have opinions on "Armscor" and "Geco" ammo? I'm looking a .380 specifically but any caliber should probably be a good indicator of every caliber.
Robin
This is a very good scope but I need a longer eye relief, around 4"-5". This is for trade, if you have something of equal value or close, I'm negotiable. I'm not interested in selling out right. A long shot but what the heck.

I finished putting together my 350 Legend upper and lower, got the scope yesterday. Such beautiful day I lit out for the range to see if everything works properly. I put my target out a 50 yards hoping I would at least be on the cardboard. Fired three times for triangulation and even with...
It's never too soon for up coming the hunting season. In this case, that would be Turkey. I made a couple new calls for this spring, still tuning them up. I also made the equivalent of a sixteen gauge left handed fowling gun, just a bit more engraving I'm done, well I still have to decide...
I want to remove this because it is sooooooooooo unpleasant to shoot. It is a Stag and they say they can't tell me how to do it. Any of you folks had experience with this before? Seems like if I grind down to the thread major diameter it should just fall out, or maybe drill it. I don't know how...

Well, here's a long shot. I'll trade one of my muzzleloaders for a S&W Model 19 and a S&W model 34 Kit Gun.
Right or left handed, your choice, many to choose from. Too many particulars to type in but they can be worked out.
I am looking for a standard Model's 19 and 34 with 4" barrels, and...
Right now, after many so-so's and utter failures, I am looking for a tried and true breakfast sausage recipe.
Heck, any venison sausage recipe, Italian, German, whatever would be welcome!!! I like good sausage and am willing to try almost any new recipe that sounds promising.

I'm in line at the local Quickly, a guy is buying a pack of smokes. The clerk says she has to have his drivers license, takes it and swipes it across some kind of reader. The guy does a WTF and is pissed, the gal says we have to do that now and says she doesn't agree with it but, gives the...
I'm looking for a good old cast iron press that is still in good shape, not all loosey-goosey. I like my rock chucker but when experimenting with loads it would be nice to do it without setting up and taking down several times per session. Something collecting dust and cobwebs in your basement...
Hogue free float hand guard, 12-3/8" long. A few scrapes on the outside but functions perfectly. Just post here and you are in for the Friday morning drawing.

Planning my winter project, and was wondering. I know you can put anything but a silencer devise on your AR if the magazine is fixed. My wonderings are, does it still have to be pinned and welded?
Sorry to bring this shit up but its a FUAC world we live in.

Cartridge mouth ejecting from my side charging .224 Valkyrie are hitting what looks to be the opening edge of the slot the charging handle rides in. I don't see how that is possible but that is what it appears to be. I reload and the dent is considerable, even after annealing the necks and...
I had a load for my Valkyrie that I knew was flirting with too hot, even though it was under the published 'Maximum Load' because I would get an occasional swipe on the cartridge base. Well yesterday I had a primer blowout so I shut down, went home and pulled the bullet's from the remainder of...
I loaded three rounds for a pressure check and this is the result.
They flattened out some, but not too excessive, to my eye, but I'd appreciate others with more experience having a look and voicing their opinion. Recoil does not seem to be more than I am used to. My load is .5 under the max...

Is there a table somewhere that lists what AR magazines are compatible with what cartridges? As an example, the magazine for a 6.8 is compatible with the .224 Valkyrie, but not the .223, it is more than just swiping out a follower, the ribbing in the .223 is deeper, the mouth is narrower. What...
I need a scope with an 8" minimum eye relief. I found a scope mount for my Mauser that is totally unobtrusive, in that I can put it on and take it off without any modification to the gun itself, awesome!!! However it will require a scope a longer than usual eye relief, maybe even a pistol scope...
Free to good home. It works fine and I no longer use it so................
Just respond and I will draw the winning name Friday.

P.S.
I am looking for a long eye relief scope, 8" plus. Anyone got an oldie but goody no longer being used, I'm interested.

So, my pal from South Carolina is spending the rest of summer in NY and wants to know if he can bring his T/C .22.
It has that little threaded thing on the muzzle so I am thinking it is not legal in this shit hole but don't really know anymore because laws no longer make any sense. Just don't...
Starting to mull over parts for an AR-10 I would like to put together this winter. I want to construct both upper and lower and thought I would get the lower out of the way first seeing how I have to go through an FFL. Thinking Aero-Precision. I am largely ignorant on this stuff and freely admit...
