The Good
Walther P99C in 9mm
A .357 SIG barrel for my P250
Henry Classic .22LR lever rifle
The Bad
A Red River Tactical Holster for the P99C. It took 2 months before it arrived and, while it holds the gun snuggly, it rides high. I am hold off on my final opinion until I try a new...
Mmm, I was only a young teen at the time but I remember it that way. Also, I hate the two-party system. I say the more parties and opinions, the better. Both Dems and Reps have lied to the American people. If Pres. Bush had run a better campaign and touched a nerve with enough Americans he...
I agree. MDTS does a great job but receiving instruction from multiple trainers can expose a shooter to various styles/methods/techniques. Remember, there is no one size fits all.
Unfortunately, I don't have any info on Shooter's Haven but would definitely be interested in learning more about...
I have the Tech Sights on a Marlin 795 and they have helped a lot. Easy to install and adjust ( agree that the tool is a must).
BTW, do you see many Marlins at Appleseed events? The 795 has a removable box mag rather than the Marlin 60 which has a tube mag.
For now. That may restriction may on the next ballot.
What starts in one state, such as NY or CA, may migrate to others. Heck, even TX is turning purple.
I'm pissed that Claudia Tenney lost (probably, she won't concede). I can't believe there are over 116,000 Democrat pukes in her district. Crap, there must bfreeloaders dirty, lazy, stupid freeloaders here!
Whew. Needed to rant a bit. OK, now I need to buy a new gun and I'll feel almost normal...
Herb Philipson is having a sale with 20% Off their entire store, including long guns.
The sale is from Thursday Oct. 25, 2018 through Sunday Oct. 28, 2018.
I am voting for Sharpe. I hear to often from people that they would love to vote 3rd party but it would be a waste of a vote. I think that voting for someone you don't believe in and does not represent what you want for the state is throwing away your voting.
Voting for the lesser of two evils...
I know millions of people carry a striker fired pistol everyday without a problem but a ND is easier with them. It's why I like a hammer-fired gun which I can place my thumb over the hammer while holstering. Heck, even my P99 is decocked and then holstered with my thumb over the back to feel if...
So, last weekend I read through a forum thread Changing Caliber? to determine if I needed to register a new caliber for my pistol. I bought a .357 SIG barrel during a Labor Day sale at Brownells. It is labelled for the P320C but it fits perfectly in my P250C.
After reading here that new...
I did a forum search to see if a legal gun owner must register a new caliber for a handgun. With the increase in modular pistols it is now easier than ever to change a caliber while keeping the "same" gun. There still doesn't seem to much consensus about whether a new caliber for the same...
Rochester Personal Defense, a firearms training company will host Larry Sharpe, the candidate for NY governor on Wednesday evening, Sept.19.
He is, in my opinion, the most Pro-2A candidate out of the bunch.
Looking at his bio, he has several things that make a good possibility in NY:
Black...
This is a blue state and that gives Cuomo a huge advantage
I believe that we are in this mess partly because few people vote according to their principles. I think that if the politician you voted wins but did not like or belive in wins, then you have gained nothing. I have heard Larry...
A quote from the article:
" Dave Lenweaver, owner of Clean Slate Farm in Tully, said a mandatory beekeeper registry is an overstep of government authority. His farm practices treatment-free beekeeping, and Lenweaver said government regulation of his hives could impact the quality of the beeswax...
That was going to be my question on this thread: Does anyone actually know someone, anyone, who was arrested/fined/cited for carrying concealed in a NY state park? If so, why were they searched?
I have been reading a little bit about this guy, Larry Sharpe.

My new Walther P99C AS in 9mm just arrived at my LGS yesterday!
I have liked the look and ergos of the Walther pistols for awhile but always thought that I would grab one in the future. I was particularly like the fact that the striker can be decocked and that it protrudes when depressed. I...
I signed up for this a few months ago. Actually, you would be surprised by the number of pro-2A docs out there. Remember, we see the wackjobs often and may suspect some of our patients may be dangerous. Protecting ourselves and our family is a priority.
Plus, shooting is a great stress...

Willjr75, you're going to have to accept that some people are going to like what they like. They are also going to actively seek info to support their choice and ignore other data. Confirmation bias is prevalent everywhere, especially guns. There is no doubt that current 9mm is a pretty gound...
I like tnoutdoors9 videos alot and he did alot of testing in ballistic gelatin. However, I also like Paul Harrell's youtube channel. This video maybe apropos for the thread:
I really like it here but then again I like most gun-related sites. I migrated over here from another NY-centered gun site after I was sent a PM to check this place out. I quickly learned that many have come here from that "other place" however I am not sure why the exodus. I do recall that...
One thing I wanted to let know about if you didn't already is there is a firearm instructor named Melody Lauer (also went under the pseudonym of Limatunes) who has written a few articles about this sort of thing. She has a youtube channel and a blog
As others have said, Congratulations! If this is your first child, sleep now. Both of you, sleep as much as you can.
It really isn't newborns or even infants that are the trouble, it's toddlers. They are mobile, they are curious and they explore everything. You cannot train those out of kids...
