I was getting confused w/ the Overwatch parts on the other site, it made me think the first site was Overwatch, so I was confused that they didn't have any minus connectors, then you linked me to Overwatch, and they did have em. I'm all sorted out now, lol.
Hopefully they both come...
Says it's not compatible w/ the 42 or 43. If it doesn't specifically say it won't fit the 48, you think it's g2g or no? I see a lot of products for the 43 and 48 interchangeable w/ each other
Since Overwatch is out of their 4.5 pound ghost/minus connector, should I just stick w/ the stock one, or go for the 3.5 pound double diamond version from the Glock store? I don't wanna do too much to the gun, but I do want the trigger to run as smoothly as possible. I think part of my shooting...
After Wednesday's finale, I feel better about shooting. I don't know if I just had a good day or if it's starting to come together, but I feel the grip work and new sights have been very helpful.
Hopefully this is the last thing to make this run just a little better for me. Couldn't wait...
Damn, too bad it doesn't have that little lip, but this is too good to pass up methinks.
Class has gone well this season. New sights have helped a bit, working on my grip slowly has improved. The results are noticeable. I just have to shoot slower.
Finale this week is all steel, so we'll see...
I did the black step strips too when I built a snowblower ramp. Basically long strips of sandpaper, really worked out.
I like those solar light options. The one with 4000mah battery looks interesting, and I like that trickle charger. When I decide on a shed kit, I think I'll look into these...
That's all I really need, is someone who has or can build stuff like this. I've just never attempted anything like this and don't know code or anything other than what I can read or have already read. That's what intrigues me about the site I found with plans and blueprints. I feel like I could...
I think my ~1300sq ft Cape got a whole new roof in 2017/18. Had cedar shakes as well. Full reroof was 6500, and an additional 3150 for soffit/trim, fascia, insulation, and new gutters. I found the measurements, it was 15 square
Yeah, I'm cool w/ it @cgrutt just looking for references since I obviously have no idea what materials and construction costs. I never wanted to be that guy either, always thought I had a decent idea of what things should cost.
Since we're doing this w/ our heloc, I could always put the...
That's the problem. He also quoted 3k to build a shed too. Compared to anything from HD, it'll be infinitely better. Pretty much any project at HD for $1500 is made with cheap chipboard. Even some of their sheds from 2-3k are as well. A 3k shed would probably be a pretty nice shed. There are...
I'm in Rochester.
$3k to tear off roof completely (cedar shakes under, and rotted too). It's like 12x20ish. It's an extra $4k to do the under eave extension like you built, $5k if I want to do the extension and incorporate the garage roof w/ it. So 3k for roof, 7k for roof and extension, 8k for...
Nice work! That turned out really nice
I'm kind of at a kink too. Not sure what I should be paying for this type of work, got a $3k price for the roof and another $4k for the lean-to, $5k if I wanted to do combined roof and lean-to, $3k for free-standing shed. I know good work aint cheap, but...
Basically, a compliant rifle is a full-send on the other fun shit we're allowed to have. Mine has a tele stock, pistol grip, and foregrip. I've been told by numerous LE friends that compliant is good enough to pretty much every cop out there (as far as the law is concerned, and they don't feel...
lol, nvm, just looked at their site. All M14 barreled actions are still just as much as a used M1A. Seems like $2k is the price to build, or just find someone's used one I guess.
What is the other option to get a similar 308 semi-auto build, that's not based on the AR platform? SKS the only...
Fair enough! I've never shot one, so I was wondering what it'd be like to just buy the internals and put one together yourself, but it seems like that is fairly complicated too. Sucks, cuz they're such cool guns
I'm sure someone could find this post and use it against me, but your words are what I'm basically going by. I haven't heard or seen that the fix needs to be permanent. Doing it w/ a tool seems good enough, and there's no case law regarding it anyway, so what can they say? It's fixed, therefor...
Fwiw, I never epoxied those screws. If it is ever inquired about by LE, I'll tell them I didn't know and thought that using a tool to install it made it permanent enough. Not like I keep tools w/ me all the time, right? Right...? :idk:
What is it about M1A rifles that make them so expensive? I get the models that have match grade parts on them, but what about just a regular M1A build? I've always liked the rifle and would love some semi-auto 308 goodness, but there's no builds that don't cost $2K?
I had a MA, I think it worked ok for what it was. I prefer the BF10, ymmv. For a mag lock, I use Allstar's SAFEmod. Just two screws in the release that prevent the button from being pressed. Simple to install.
Yeah, it looks like you'll be doing this a lot sooner than I will be, so I'll be watching your build, seeing how you do things. I'm guessing when all said and done, there will be some similarities between ours
Just talked to a guy who said he can do basically whatever I want, and we kinda talked about doing I think exactly what you said - basically add ledger board onto the sides of the garage like a deck and building a floor from there. Supported by concrete footers on the outside, he said it'd take...
Very nice! This looks a lot like what I'd like to do w/ my garage or at least explore first.
Question: Your roof for the side lean-to is attached to the wall, but it's not part of the shed roof. Will you be leaving the floor as dirt or adding in something else?
I wanted to add something like...
Funny, we did an off-hand shoot and we couldn't switch back until we recorded 5 head shots. I think it took me 6 shots to do it. Maybe because I was taking my time, who knows, but it felt good, lol.
That's not what I meant, but yes, I agree. That has been the nice thing about this CCW class. We were doing all that stuff, they had some really good drills
I messaged Dave and talked to him, said I'd rather setup a 1 on 1 instead of coming out to shoot class tonight. He said come out anyways and we'll put one of the instructors on you. I may have to do that. I'll ask about the death grip, more than 1 time that's been mentioned here.
Your mention...
I'm friends w/ Dave Jenkins (owner) on FB, I'll hit him up. I was supposed to continue the ccw class we did last year, but this may be a better spend of my money
Maybe mentioned this in my op or not, but that's what I was trying to do now and what I was doing while I was doing the wall drill
Sorry, phone got stolen, I'm in Rochester
Yes. I was going to have my friend come w/ me to the range, he's an NRA qualified pistol instructor, but in the absence of that since he's busy w/ work, yes, I'm open to a class. I do take a ccw class w/ Roch Personal Defense, but that focuses on shooting up close and personal and I can hit...
Problem is that at up close/defensive pistol distances (is that even a thing?), yeah, the groups are fine. Right lung shredded. With the groups being fairly decent, I'm ok with them bc I'm doing something right. If I could transfer those a few inches to the target's left (my right) so that I'm...
I actually didn't move the rear sight, I installed it and then we measured it w/ a micrometer to make sure it was exactly in the middle.
Your comment about the trigger intrigues me. Much has been said about the mushy trigger, and I can see how it would require more strength to manipulate it...
Yeah, not sure about that one. Someone in the comments wrote this, "There needs to be a space between the pad of the index finger and the frame of the pistol when gripping the gun. If not that pad will flex up and push the barrel to the left when the trigger is pulled." He was saying that to...
I need an adult, lol.
I've probably said on here before that I have trouble shooting left. I do it w/ every pistol I shoot usually. Put new sights on the G48, went out this weekend to try them out. Better groups, not low, just left again. In the past I've shot low and left. I quick googled at...
This is exactly what I need done in my backyard. Have been looking all over for pre-built, kits, metal, wood, adding on to side of the garage, etc. Doing some other fixes to the house at the same time, so project time is here, just have no idea who to contact or if this is something I want to...
No argument here that this was way too much force, I think we're all in agreement there. Also, nothing to defend w/ the rioting, no matter what, I can never see it as a reasonable action or response.
Now, stay w/ me here, and I know a large portion of you will not agree w/ me, but I'm going to...
Yup, and I'm extra careful to make sure I don't drink as much when I do. I'm short and I like to talk a lot when I drink, which can rub people the wrong way. Not saying I would ever pull a gun out in an argument, but I don't want that to be part of the equation. I like to enjoy myself. When I am...
If one exists - a polymer for the 43/48, whether Agency or Overwatch. If can't find one, then I'll suck it up and go for the TAC from Overwatch, I really like that little lip on the edge.
It looks like Overwatch has the polymer, but no lip on the polymer like Ed's. If I read Ed's comment...
