I disagree that Astorino is more well known. Nobody local to Rochester that I know had heard about him before this election. I've seen significantly more anti-Molinaro ads by Cuomo than I have seen pro-Molinaro or anti-Cuomo ads.
That's good, but you live in a small town, right? That's not...
Molinaro isn't going to be losing by 1 vote. My guess... He's going to lose by about 16%.
If you look at it as voting against people, it's as much of a vote against Cuomo as it is Molinaro.
@Criticalt. What you say may be true, but a vote for Sharpe isn't a vote for Cuomo. That's not how voting works. A vote for Sharpe is a vote for Sharpe.
Like I said before. You'll be able to add up the votes for Sharpe and Molinaro, and it still won't equal Cuomo's total. People can bitch and...
The polls were national polls and were about the popular vote. The polls said she was up 1-6%. She won the popular vote by 2.1%. The polls themselves were accurate.
I've lost one deer while hunting. It was my very first one, and I've taken a dozen with my bow since. I'm pretty sure I hit it in the brisket. I trailed that thing for 500 yards, up and down ravines, across hills, etc. There wasn't a lot of blood, but some at first. I ran across one small pool...
I arrowed a small buck this past weekend. 40 yards away, my arrow deflected off a tiny branch I couldn't see and I knew I didn't hit him well. I trailed him for a few hundred yards through woods, a bit of field, and then into a swamp with 3" of standing water and cattails. I ended up hitting him...
You really think that Molinaro has much of a chance? The closest he has been is 13 points, and that's because support for Cuomo went down more than Molinaro. It's not like support for Molinaro went up. I've offered a wager to a bunch of people now. I'll bet that you can add up Molinaro's and...
I skipped out of work an hour early on Monday. I saw two deer and spooked them both. One about 10 yards from my stand when I was walking in, and one in the middle of the field when I was walking out.
Honestly, I'd prefer bear spray over a firearm. Way easier to use and has been shown to be as or more than effective than a firearm. If I had to choose a gun, I'd go with 357 or 44 mag.
Finally got around to checking my cameras after a few months. I have tons of pictures of does and fawns, but only a couple bucks. The best picture I found of was this girl and her cub.
The committee voted to approve Kavanaugh. As soon as they did, Grassley was basically "our 2 hours are up, adjourned" and left Feinstein and company still talking about wanting an FBI investigation. The confirmation vote can be scheduled by McConnell.
I love how Grassley was just like, "Well, our two hours are up. Adjourned." Feinstein had no idea what the hell was going on and was like, "WTF?" Love it.
I'd be all for an FBI investigation if the Dems didn't already try to stall this for a significant amount of time.
@Airborneguy Can you share the recipe?
Here's that bratwurst I mentioned yesterday. I thought it was chicken, but it's actually turkey. I can't remember if we used thighs or breast, but it shouldn't matter too much.
3 pounds turkey (after any boning)
1 pound fatty pork shoulder
25 grams kosher...
I posted the recipe almost 2 years ago now, but I can do it again. High melt cheddar isn't critical, so don't order it until you've decided that you like this recipe. I've got recipes for a bunch of different sausages if anybody wants them. breakfast sausage, longaniza, Italian, and a bratwurst...
Those are awesome, but you have to put another line on your cell phone plan, and it uses your data (although probably not too much). I would love one, but it's not worth the money to me. It makes perfect sense for him though. I would definitely do it if I had land I didn't visit frequently.
If you're looking to get rid of any conibear traps let me know. The beaver are causing issues at my parents place, so I'm looking for a few 330. I want to do some raccoon trapping too, so I'm interested in a few conibear 220 or 1.5 coilspring.
I don't have a specific list, but a general one. My next gun will probably be a muzzleloader. A TC Encore would be nice, but they're expensive. After that, I plan to build a nice AR out of the NYGF lower. Then, a .308 AR build. I'll pick up a 1911 at some point. Building one from an 80% lower...
That shouldn't be an issue. I've done the background check twice in the same day. Bought 2 guns in one store and 1 in another store. Both were pretty much instant proceeds.
It is a misdemeanor. That doesn't necessarily mean you'll get charged with one though. A few years back, someone was carrying concealed in a park. The gun fell out of the holster or got lost somehow (I have no idea how). I can't remember for sure, but I don't remember if they got charged or not.
2 Ton Tony's is alright too. I prefer the Philly Cheese Steak plate from Mac's Philly Steaks though. If you're going to be near the zoo, Schaller's is decent too.
I have had a membership to Seneca Park Zoo for years now. Like has been said, there are no metal detectors, but it is a Monroe County Park, so carrying is against county law. There was a push to get that changed before SAFE, but that push has been shelved permanently. With SCOPE having so much...
We opened up a nice area in the woods that is about 20'x40' over the last year or two. I think I'm going to put down something this year. It's a great spot that has some good travel corridors near it.
Non-resident fees can be absolutely nuts. At least NY's fees are somewhat reasonable. I paid $635 for one either sex elk tag a couple years back in Colorado. A non-resident mule deer license tag in CO is something like $400.
I bought mine for my son a couple years back, the day before he turned 5. I think I brought his birth certificate and my driver's license. It was easy, just like buying a regular license.
I use a knife quite frequently. Probably 3-6 times a day. Some of the time I'm carrying something or holding something. Having it clipped to my pocket always keeps it in the same exact spot, all the time. I also find that it's quicker to "draw" from, especially if the knife happens to be...
I picked up two Ruger 10/22s. One for each of my kids, made in the year that they were born. Paid a little less than retail for new in box guns, so I'm happy.
I had to leave around lot 250 unfortunately. I had my eye on the blunderbuss pistol. It ended up selling for $60. I would have paid...
