These exemptions are immaterial, as retired police officers are already exempt by LEOSA.
The section you refer to is in reference to private property, and private property owners could either allow or disallow the carrying of concealed handguns by LEOs. Private property owners already have this option, so that is not affected by this new bill. I think you may have a valid point...
