Awhile back I saw where PSA had complete lowers and complete uppers that totaled something like $380 if memory serves. Pop 2 pins and you have an AR lacking only the rear sight or optic of your choice.
I alerted a buddy down south and he bought 4 or 5 of them and 2 or 3 dozen metal mags at $6...
I'm not so sure about the Post being left leaning. The NY Daily News is for sure but most of the editorials & opinions I see in the Post are pretty conservative. A lot of the articles are that way as well when they are not pointing out general human stupidity.
And they absolutely slam Cuomo and...
Anybody a member of the Trenton Fish & Game club up Holland Patent way? Got a couple questions if someone is familiar with their pistol shooting events and ranges.
Thanks

This article does not mention vehicular traffic. Wonder how that will be handled.
A retired GA state trooper on another forum had this to say..................
"Why stop there, how's about a BJ while you're down there... The cops that did that are the lowest of the low and don't deserve to be on any PD."
Cary is in Wake county, as is Raleigh. Wake county has a definite tilt...
I feel for you, brother. But hang in there.
First 5 years of marriage we were on a 25 acre old farm. Then the wife said she was tired of driving 5 miles for a gallon of milk.
2nd 5 years of marriage we were in a suburb where I could piss after 3 beers and hit a neighbor's house. Then the wife...
Years ago I bought a G26 for my wife as a birthday present after she learned on my G17. She never really liked the 26 so she didn't shoot it much and never carried it.
Last year, out of the blue, she announced she wanted to go shopping for a gun for herself. She wanted something "smaller than...
Not to hijack this thread but I think what we see here is just another example of over-reaction that has been evident from the start as everyone from the President on down is just winging it in response to evolving situations.
A nephew belongs to a club in a southern state that recently shut...
Have not heard back from @repete so I guess it is still available.
It's an hour and a half to Geneseo. I know, I have kin there.
Half a day trip.
Come on - consider this "essential".
Wayne county is the next one to the east of Monroe. As for picking it up, I'm retired so we can work around your schedule. Shoot me a PM with a phone number and what part of Rochester you're in and I'll get back to you with my number and directions and we can work it out from there.
Had a small (8") cherry tree come down that I have been cutting up for firewood. It has a burl that is about 15" in diameter.
Rather than burn it I would prefer to give it to someone who could do something with it. I have seen some amazing wood crafts made out of burls.
If you want it shoot...
I have a question because I have no idea how such a confiscation works.
Prior to a raid does the government approach the owner to inquire about purchasing these items? Or do they just learn of their existence, decide the owner is illegally hoarding, and simply take the stuff?
Piece of plywood with skull & crossbones and a big "Q" in orange paint at the end of the driveway will probably be the extent of my increased posture.
With "Note to UPS & FedEx --- just kidding, come on up" at the bottom, of course.
Y'all remember Harry Reid, right? Think of the things he did as Senate Majority Leader that all conservatives hated.
Look him up and see where he is now and know that, eventually, all of these people will be in his shoes, one way or the other. And they all know it, too. Look at them and smile...
Something for you to try the next time you face a wide-spread array of targets. Set up so you are indexed on the LAST target. Then, keeping your feet in place and turning with your knees, index on the first target that you will draw to and engage. Doing so will allow you to unwind into your more...
A man went in for heart transplant surgery and the doctor told him there were 3 donor hearts available.
One was from an 17 year old boy who was a star athlete in his school. One was from a 28 year old woman marathoner. And the third was from a 78 year old socialist Senator. Since this man was...
I certainly do not say this with any glee but I think the rest of the country is about to get a taste of NY style gun laws.
I would bet big money on a federal hi cap mag ban. Absolutely would pass the House and I don't believe the Senate would sufficiently be against it. And Trump would never...
Funny.
The thing about being condescending is you can pull it off if you're superior attitude is backed up by being right in the topic under discussion. Your level of factual correctness as to my being "new" suggests your factual correctness in other areas is somewhat suspect as well.
I'm sure you didn't mean to sound condescending there but it came across that way. And I'm sure you realize there might be one or two folks on this forum that might, just might, have a little more experience than you. Something to think about.
Back in the day you had your Maglight in one hand and your service weapon in the other - back to back.
Not saying this is better than a weapon mounted light but the Maglight did and still does have its advantages.
I was once told Rochester PD did a survey to see which houses in the city had...
The last time I got delayed I asked the dealer how long it normally took the FBI to finally give him the go ahead.
His answer was that he normally never hears from them again..... unless it results in a denial.
If this is normal procedure then anyone getting delayed can expect to wait the...
Exactly right. NC is possession and open carry without a permit. Permit needed for concealed. If he got one here he can surely get one there. Part of the reason I chose NC for a 2nd home is they honor all other carry permits so I don't need their permit but I do pay attention to their laws...
@Crwbr I appreciate your kind words but I have to tell you the only original thought I ever had in learning what I know about pistol shooting is that what works for others may or may not work for me. So I set out to try everything and kept what worked for me. Basically, I stole everything I know...
@Crwbr I wanted to add something. I don't think you should lose a lot of sleep over this. What sight picture you should be using will sort itself out and you will look back at this as a minor speed bump. One of those things that just bugs you for a little while until it doesn't anymore.
When I...
My two cents..........
Download this excellent image @Darth provided, put it in an email to Kimber, and ask them which sight picture they think you should be using. Don't tell them why, just ask them. This will tell you how they have those fixed sights set up on that gun.
Here's why you need...
Here's the concern. How much of a prick does the DA want to be? From the sounds of it, maybe not too much.
But if the DA did want to be a prick this is how it could go............
