My father was a carpenter and after he retired he did the usual little odd jobs for people to make extra money and keep busy.
He was helping a guy install a new front door. He told the guy to cut a piece of trim for the door and he was going to sit on his toolbox for a minute and catch his...
Behind every joke is a kernel of truth. Unfortunately, a bushel full here.
But, hey, it looks like Homer graduated from my old alma mater. Utica Club Brewery tours every Friday afternoon. Best education the GI Bill could buy.
Agreed.
Maybe I'm "old school" or maybe I'm just stuck in the 1990's but the Canadian Paras were the go-to gun for competition (USPSA) shooting in Limited division (just as Caspians were for Open) and I still prefer the heft of a metal frame wide body over the polymer double stacks of today...
I'd say this is a win for good lawyering more than anything else. And possibly a loss for prosecutorial over-reach. Lemme tell you why............
As I understand it - admittedly from media reports - the relevant (to this issue) term of her probation was that she was prohibited from possessing...
Something with a changeable recticle like that Holosun seems like it would be the best of both worlds but if one is stuck with a single reticle dot sight there is something to keep in mind...........
Once you get done sighting it in, the point of impact will always be in the center of the dot...
@Airborneguy
Congratulations on losing your virginity and I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.
As a 25 year USPSA member, I can tell you there is some good news and some bad news.
The good news is you now know where all your spare time and spare money will be spent. The bad news is you now know...
My son has my father's 510 single shot now, which along with a Fulton 16 gauge made up his entire arsenal. LOL
Dad and I killed a lot of chucks with that gun over the years and taught a lot of kids the shooting fundamentals.
That 510 - 511 - 512 series were pretty damned good guns.
I absolutely agree with this. As it was some people were already on the Air Force bus that was to take them to the base. Almost as good.
I'd have gone with a 2 hour "ground stop" before the deplaning. But that's just my "toxic masculinity" coming out.
@Airborneguy = you have had better luck than me with Xtreme 9mm's obviously.
I started reloading 9mm with jacketed bullets back in the stone ages. Used several brands with good results. I, too, came to like the 147 grain for USPSA. A heavier bullet gives me more of a "push" recoil feeling...
This is the same guy as this story..................
Buffalo Idiot gets busted for possessing a machine gun
State level charges now.
Looks like Western District US Attorney is getting more active on gun related stuff. Working in tandem with state and locals.
I had not encountered these before, watched a video, they look pretty slick.
I've shot a number of different revolvers in competition and the fastest way for me to reload was with moon clips - using the off hand to do the reload.
This is with S&W revolvers and me being right handed --- use...
Whereabouts (roughly)? Just curious. It has been a lot colder, for longer, earlier than I can remember the prior 5 years being here.
Northern Wayne county.
I wrote earlier about thinking my partner and I wouldn't be able to hunt where we usually go on opening day - wouldn't be able to get...
^^^^ Same here. There are a couple doe and their kids that are always around my property, quite often in my back yard, but have completely disappeared. No tracks since the big snow, no nothing. I think they work off the same calendar that I do.
I recall a day when a friend and I were taking a break sitting together on a side hill overlooking the Genesee valley. Way down on the valley floor somebody opened up with 5 shots. We chuckled - that one got away. About a minute later and a little bit to the north there were another 5 shots...
No, I think you got it right. That's the way I read it, too. The "fully automatic machinegun" came from a West Seneca, NY gun shop although the gun shop owner "did not believe" it was that way when he transferred it. LOL
I can just envision Forest Gump sitting on a bench waiting for his bus...
And just to rub salt in the wound that is NY........ PSA is advertising complete lowers for $130 and complete (blem) uppers for $210. Add 1 BUS and 1 Pmag and rock & roll.
Oh, wait, fuggettaboutit.
