The saga of my GSSF Glock purchase continues.
I went to the PA Blue Label dealer in E. Smithfield. They will check their distributor to see how long to get the G17 gen 5 MOS.
They charge exactly what is shown on the price sheet, $489.50. And because it's PA and I'm NY, no sales tax. I...
I called the actual closest Blue Label which is in PA. About 30 miles. They get the gun from their Blue Label distributor. Depending on if it's in stock at the distributor, takes a few days. And they free delivery to a NY LGS not far from me.
I called the closest Blue Label dealer in Avon, NY. He said takes 20 weeks to get the gun. I don't know if it's worth it. I think that's the procedure for LEO not GSSF.
I'll try Rochester area.
I got my GSSF welcome kit today AND a Trijicon Type 2 RMR HRS. The SOCOM model. So I'm committed to getting the MOS version Glock.
I'll call around to the Blue Label dealers. Also have to see how to buy out of county and out of state. Our county has a pre purchase coupon. Present it to...
"... the judges, along with another magistrate who was not involved in the fight, tried to enter the Red Garter Gentleman’s Club in Downtown, but it was closed,” The Star noted. “They went to the nearby White Castle at 55 W. South St. instead.”" hahaha
I had a similar experience with Libertarian Country T shirts. I ordered the wrong size. They sent me prepaid RMA shipping label.
And promptly sent the correct size.
Got more ammo. Going to try the 150 grain syntech. Official ammo of the USPSA (United States Practial Shooting Association). When I get my 1911 back from Armscor. Some 22LR and spotter. The spotter is a cheap one. Good enough for checking the targets at 50 yds and less.
Seems like a modern manufacturer could make revolver simllar to this except using common ammo. And better looking and ergonomic using modern polymer. I don't remember the safe act rules for revolvers. It would be great to have a higher capacity that is not in violation of safe act.
I imagine...
I always go alone. I try to go when the range is empty. Not opposed to going with someone.
The people on my Club are all great. Usually enjoy it if someone happen to be there.
Also I go to the weekly rifle shoots and the weekly pistol shoots.
I will be completing in GSSF events. The G17 comes in MOS version. And I like the idea of having more events from which to chose.
Eventually I want the Trijicon Type 2. Hoping it will fit well. That's something to be determined before I get one.
I used to work for a large international company. I worked with Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs. All nice people. My former boss is a Muslim. Basically like us but instead of church on Sundays it's mosque or temple or whatever on their "sabbath" day.
I've submitted my 2 year application to join GSSF. Eagerly awaiting my Glock coupon.
Now to decide on a Glock model. Here are some requirements. At least what I think are the requirements. I'm a noob.
Full size => 4.49 inch
Marksman barrel
Gen 5 (I think)
MOS version that works with...
Thanks, I didn't pay attention to that part of the application. I DO want to compete. Probably do some traveling to compete too.
I don't want to start out completing with Masters. Guess I'll have to get two Glocks eventually.
I was at Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday checking out a G34. Not sure if it was a MOS didn't look closely. I happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped by to look around. It would be great if they are an affiliate.
"Cooper, 35, was arrested in February along with Joshua Cooper, 32, of Ovid, in Darien for allegedly doing unauthorized repair work on a driveway of a residence and then demanding money. They were charged with soliciting without a permit, fraud and conspiracy.
The mug shot is from an arrest in...

I use Walmart pay which doesn't print a receipt. The receipt is emailed. The message after the transaction is something like " Thank you for using Walmart pay. Your receipt has been emailed to you. We will check your phone at the exit".
Locally I've never been checked. I was checked at a...
