It lives.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, if you want to see anything close up I'll get any pictures you want. Total investment is well below 400 dollars, and i could add variable speed for another couple hundred. I did use some things I had laying around like the empty breaker...
Motor is mounted for real now, everything you see is finalized. Only thing left is wiring. The holes for the electrical box are done, everything is ready to go. Really. One more day of work!
Motor placement marked out and a bushing was made for inside of the blue castor / drive pulley. I filed a keyway into the bushing and it is now mounted on the motor shaft. It's a nice interference fit so no set screw needed. Still more to do but here's how it looks with a belt on it...
No, I'm saying that I can understand why you would think that but I'm not conceding that it looked like anything. It looked like a building coming down.
I'm have to watch the videos again, but as far as I'm aware the buildings started their collapse where the planes hit. They hit at different...
Let's flip this around and ask the conspiracy theorists a question.
Theorists, why in the world would the government, who was apparently interested in killing as many people as possible and creating chaos, make the buildings fall like they were in a controlled demolition? Why would they even...
Oh by the way! 1000c is hot enough for forging. You know, the method used to form, bend, and shape steel since steel was first created. :banghead::deadhorse:
Looks like my data on the height was off by about 25%, so figure about 80 inches instead of 109.
Let's play a different game.
Conspiracy theorists say that jet fuel in open air should burn around 1000C, so around 1830f.
Figure 80 degrees in the building for a nice round number, so a...
The full height of 1776 feet would have expanded 109 inches over its entire length assuming an average temperate increase of 800 degrees across the entire length of the beam assuming an expansion rate of 0.00000645 per inch per degree.
Can't imagine that causing any problems.
Dear Lord I can't do this. Think what you want but for all of our sakes please distance yourself from the firearms community when giving your opinions, I don't want to be lumped into your group.
Uh, yeah guy. That's correct. Pour some gas in a cup and light it, lmk how long it burns. It's a lot longer than "all at once". Fuel VAPORS burn, not liquid fuel.
I'm not gonna be anywhere near a road. I'd be 5-10 miles from the closest one. Fishing is reasonable though.
My guess is they don't let you carry on the show, so no gun. Might be able to have a bow though.
