I have wanted one of the SIG Cross rifles for quite a while but the timing was always off. Last week I finally made it happen with a 6.5 and have harvested one deer with it. I like the rifle quite a bit so far.

I came across this Colt at the LGS. They gave me a great deal on it and I thought it would be a fun little project, clean bore and nice action. It most certainly isn’t new but it was a good time. After some love, it’s a pretty good shooter and a good experience.

So, from this chat, I would recommend anything from a 1” to a 20” barrel, hi point to a Dan Wesson, single shot to a 100 round drum, easy take down to 47 hour take down, old or new. Anything in between there and you will just fine!

For my 22, I went with hobby grade. Burris Fastfire 3 and it has been pretty damn good. The dot brightness settings are fairly limited but it has worked well for me.
