It's a center-fire, and considerably older than the CF's. Converted from a Pattern 1914 Enfield to a BSA model "E" in 1952. The width of the base is key in getting a good fit.

If you've done a good restoration the rifle has historical value. Once you refinish it to make it look like new that value is gone.
